No not all. Probably around 5%.

But all the people who claim to be this religion or that don;t actually go to church.

So, by your figures 95% of the UK population is non-catholic <ok>

I wonder what the amount of those people who would be against funding a Papal State visit????

<laugh> Tommy is ****ed-off because we've found him out as a war criminal.

So how many children burned at your hands British Squaddie man?

Nae luck again Tommy as I didn't need a special religious education like you Southern ****-wits living in the 1800's. We've moved past sectarianism in the Highlands, we just hate Central belt half-wits who still think that relgion has any relevance to anything. Really it's a sounding board for morons and old clueless ****s like you.

<laugh> Nah, it's just that most of the religious ****s in the Highlands couldn't give a **** about Celtic/Rangers. That's the problem from Dundee on down, full of ****s who equate football with religion and politics. Morons.

Some of the comments on this thread & others would suggest there is definitely an anti-catholic feeling.

Surpisingly nobody believes in religion but does not have a go at Anglican teachings or any other major religion.

The tax payer shouldn;t be funding his visit, but thats not his fault, he was invited here by the queen - she shuld pay for it <ok>

I certainly don't hate catholics, as my mother was schooled in that faith and my 3 best mates are all catholic.

I have no objection to the Pope, or to him coming to Scotland as I am not a religious person

I just feel that in these times of financial strife why does the tax payer have to foot the bill, I would have imagined the Vatican must have a few bob, so could they not pay. It's only for 4 days, he obviously couldnt get the 2 weeks off work.

richt, for my part i dont want to get rid of the royal family, it's part of "wur cult-yoor" and history so dont really see being different to supporting the arts/historic sites, foreigners ****ing love it and visiting dignitaries (who we should have the common courtesy to pay for whilst they visit) go all wobbly at the knees at the sight of tiaras and **** <ok> plus they have benefited many charities over the years (as they should be expected to).

why we pay for their extended families escape me though, it should just be the immediate family (i.e. the ones performing public holidays) as for paying for their security they are a high profile potential target (like a PM and some ex PM's) and they should expect this to be provided for them.

plus you all know my feelings on big phil <ok>

Who really gives a **** if the Pope comes or not? I couldn't care less if he comes, I couldn't care less if we pay for it. I couldn't care less what the old kraut **** has to say either.

He believes that there is a man in the sky with a son who died and was resurrected. He wears robes with a funny hat and stands on a balcony quite often preaching to people carrying beads....if you didn't know it was Catholicism then you'd think I was talking about a ****ing cult.

Religions are just established cults that have been around since time immemorial. Anyone who believes in a higher power that will judge us after death needs to get a ****ing grip. Lets have a look a some famous religious leaders just to prove my point:

Nev, my post above should hopefully be what you were thinking of. I ****ing hate religion and religious people. First thing I said to my grandfather on Christmas day wasn't "Merry Christmas" but "See the Pope took a hiding"....the old **** wasn't impressed with me. He doesn't see the funny side of a mental patient attacking another mental patient in robes and a funny hat. I do.....<laugh> ****ing daft Pope **** <laugh>

the 2nd photo, is it the Archbishop of Canterbury????

anyway, it looks like his cock has been removed from the picture, and it must be a weapon and a half going by the 2 hands required to hold it<ok>
