As a Chelsea fan I admire the old French sod but I don't suppose Wenger can sign everybody but out of all the managers he can boast to have maintained a challenge every year and european football on a relative shoestring with some blinding buys as Henry £10 Mil, Overmars 5.5 Mil, Petit 2.5 Mil, Pires 6 Mil, Viera 3 Mil, Anelka 500,000 & Cesc Fabregas Sol Campbell Free aren't bad. If only Harry had such an eye?

'Arry has a great eye for a deal, that's why his back pocket is always bulging and he'll probably end up doing time....

Redknapp used to have to attract players to the likes of West Ham and Pompey, so I don't think that he did too badly, do you?
Considering that he brought through your hero of the past decade or so, he's done ok on the training side, too.

Spotting world cup winners and poaching Barcelona youth players doesn't take a genius, either.
Don't get me wrong, Wenger's done very, very well for Arsenal (Wenger out!), but his constant cry of 'I saw him first!' just makes him look ridiculous.
If he spotted the likes of Modric, Ronaldo and pretty much every good player since WWII, then why didn't he bloody sign them?
That he chose to invest in the likes of Squillaci and Denilson instead, suggests that he's made quite a few errors in recent times.

    Not sure, to be honest.
I think that he just likes dressing up.
Would explain why he's always picking organisations with snazzy uniforms.

Being a devout catholic I have been deeply offended how your baseless innuendo is undermining Christ's emissary on earth has been branded a willing Nazi. All good German boys had to join the Nazi party in those days and he was an unwilling encumbant whose family moved four times to try and get away from it.

I'm considering complaining to the management of this site <grr>

I don't think anyone has the depth of squad that City have, however with players coming back from injury and possible new faces in January, who knows? The big difference I've seen this season is that we're not dropping points against the lesser lights of the division (the stoke game was a refereeing farce). this may be down to not having other competitions to distract us but that's just Harry getting his priorities right. If we're in the CL next season Levy will again have to decide whether to stick or twist and we know what happened to Leeds when they decided to twist. Whether Chelsea and Arsenal can overhaul Spurs will depend again on what they do in the transfer window. They're not currently on Spurs level and before you mention our game against you, i'll reiterate what someone said earlier: Harry got his tactics wrong in playing Modric out of position.

Agreed on the City squad, The main problem with spurs winning the title is they don't have the squad to match city or united irrespective of European competition. Chelsea are not playing great this year yet held you at home for the second season quite comfortably and with a bit more luck could have won them both. You have more points but you are not superior in squad or skill. My guess is Levy won't twist he'll put his energy into a new stadium where more money can be raised when you revert to your usual form.

As for Harry getting his tactics wrong? well VDV is a luxury spurs can't afford as he offers nothing other than what he is he doesn't win balls or press or even defend when needed. Modrics form has been average this term and he was very ordinary against Norwich as he was against Chelsea. Maybe Harry needs a break?

Correct about Jimi's Dylan song though I though I did well to make the joke off the cuff, clearly wasted on some no doubt.
