Suarez to score over or under 15. Every goal over 15 he has to give me a £10. Every goal under 15 I give him a £10.

Plus Liverpool to finishing 6th or higher. Dave gives me £20 for every position higher than 6th we finish. I give him £20 for every position under 6th.

Another somewhat pointless wind-up from Mr. Schofield methinks. Genuine football fans of all persuasions recognize Suarez's quality. They may not like him, but they do acknowledge his ability, though perhaps grudgingly at times.
The most cursory glance at these pages will show that all Liverpool fans are aware of our problems in finding the net, but blaming any one individual for that is foolish, and Suarez's contribution in other areas has been outstanding.

If Carrolls performances where as good as Suarez's, we would be top o the league

Again, anything posted on here that uses facts to back up there argument is considered a Wind-up.

Just take another look at the OP, then read your last sentence again, which contains "but blaming any one individual for that is foolish"

Carroll is being singled out on repeated threads as being 'the one' to blame, the rest of the Team are praised for creating chance after chance.

And Suarez is seemingly absolved of all blame in this regard.

Both Players are, and always were, a huge gamble at the level you wish to operate, both unproven, both expensive, and the fact that both are failing to score goals in the Premier League, at anything like the rate you hoped, should come as no suprise.

    Or..

You know it's true, and not in anyway a wind-up, and therefore has no place being closed.

The problem is we all know everything you post is a wind up <ok>

If you were any good at it you might be taken seriously - instead it's comical.

Come off it, David. I expressed my opinion. Would you like to show me where I have blamed Carroll? I don't think he's fitting in very well, but I don't make him solely responsible for our lack of goals.
I stand by what I said, blaming one man is foolish. This was a comment on anyone that does so- it's a team game and scapegoating is pointless.
I also stand by the wum accusation-you do have a bit of previous in this respect. You're not a Liverpool fan, yet you're on our board-always with negative comments. If you had occasional positive things to say then you could be seen perhaps as being more objective, but your agenda is clear so your points aren't taken seriously.
How you are perceived is down to what you say, not our prejudices.

I have posted many positive opinions on here.

It seems that the use of the words 'is a good Player' is deemed an insult though.

Haave a look, if you can be arsed, at my history, and the number of times I have I supported the signings you have made in terms of squad development, what you have thus far failed to do is improve, with the left back being the exception, the 1st XI

And whilst you(saintanton) may not have singled out Carroll, just take a look at the LFC landing page on this site, you will see many threads that do.

And just one who has suggested that there is another Striker failing to hit the net. This one.

This is what I wrote about Suarez, at the time I had my bet with Raauuul/Luccaaas in July...

Yes he's made a name for himself, as a good Player.

There are countless examples of Players coming to England with a repuation gained in weaker Leagues/International Football, and they usually start off, full of confidence, like a house on fire.

But the reality of The Premier League, the intensity of it, the physical demands it places on them is unlike anything they have, or are ever likely to, encounter.

And there weaknesses are found out. In Suarez case, he is just not quick enough.

I am not saying he won't be a success at LFC, I think he will do well, he is a good Player.

What he isn't is a World Class Player who ticks all the boxes.

This is what I was responding to- your original point.
Therefore, once again: Suarez is not "failing" us, he has played his part exceedingly well apart from his overall goal contribution. This is a current collective failing of the whole team so singling him out ( as you clearly, unequivocally did) is wrong and foolish.
Which is what I said earlier.

    Bollocks.

Suarez was bought, and was/is championed ad nauseam, on the strength of his goalscoring record.

LFC need a goalscorer, an opinion of which this board is seemingly in unison, ergo, Suarez has/is failing you.

The thread makes the point that this Board is happy to slaughter Carroll and completely exonerates Suarez for the same shortcoming.

The point is Suarez brings much more than goalscoring to the team, Carroll brings **** all if he doesn't score. He's actually a negative influence on our play.
