Part of the problem is lazy players. Since Nigel left we have had miles too many lazy bastards Roman Bednar, Yakubu, Jermaine Beckford, Michael Johnson, Diomansy Kamara I would rather we had people like Iain Hume back who will give 100% everyweek then Beckford
I wouldn't say Beckford and Kamara are in the same bracket as Bednar and Yakubu and Johnson has been out for two seasons so his fitness level is miniscule. Next game just keep your eye on Beckford, watch the runs he makes that nobody in the midfield notices. He's always asking for the ball to be played into him and the service he's getting is ****e.
Beckford is still lazy. I would take Yak lazy though as he still scored goals The thing is when you have a pacey striker up front you need to play through balls as early as possible so they can use their pace to get ahead of the defenders but the midfield hold onto the ball for too long
He's not though. Just watch him, next game he makes loads of runs breaking a neck to get space and Wellens and co fail to pick him out.
Why is it we are pontificating about players and style of play? how come the "pro's" who are working on these things day in day out, do not seem capable of either seeing the issues or putting them right? If lay people /fans can see whats wrong, why can't these over rated and over paid clowns? are they incapable of putting the problems right or do they just not really give a toss?

Beckford is lazy, he doesnt challenge for headers, he doesnt chase people down, he cant be arsed to chase bad balls, he sulks if people dont pass to him. Nigel wont put up with him for long, this is the reason why Nigel didnt play DJ Campbell and eventually sold him
All i'm saying is watch him closely next game. The space he creates for himself is unreal and i'm getting fed up with Wellens now. He needs to be dropped.
Yes i agree Wellens isnt playing well recently and needs to be dropped. But you cant blame it all on Wellens. Nigel always takes Beckford off never Nugent unless he is taking both off. Its because Beckford doesnt work hard enough for the team No one is doubting Beckford ability, but his first touch isnt good enough, if you give him chances he will score but Nigel wont keep him unless he changes his style a little
I know, but you can't expect him to score if the team doesn't play him in because as you said he lacks the technical ability to beat a man. Wellens, King, Dyer and Gallagher are all not good enough or are at least underperforming at an alarming standard and its that reason why we're not creating anything.
King has never created a chance in his life, Dyer is only playing as he is the only player at the club who offers us width, Wellens is massively underperforming from his usual standards. But Gallagher always offers something to the team, weather its his corners, free kicks or shooting from distance. He is the only player who can put in a decent cross Quite alot of Nugent's goals this season have been because of a quality first touch, if Beckford had a better first touch he would of easily of scored 3 or 4 more. Kasper has put Beckford through quite a few times but his first touch let him down. I agree the service isnt good enough but Beckford style isnt helping himself Do you think Nigel would have ever signed someone like Beckford?
