Having watched every minute of the game on TV it is patently obvious that neither club would be even at the races in English football. Second Tier at the most. Only one ambition from both teams - to kick chunks off of your opponent. Absolute disgrace but just about sums up two crude teams. Sunday morning pub football in England.
Oh my, all new material and ever so original. Go and bore people who are interested in your opinion, I would siggest you will have a limted audience.
Aye very good, i'm so jealous of possible promotion followed by a season of humiliation and rapid demotion to the Nationwide. I'd love the big home crowds too.
So why are you trolling the OF boards? No news about Soton to speak of? Seems that way seeing as how there are two of you at it, is that your supporters' club "mob rushing" us?
No,there isn't any news at the moment.I just thought I would share my opinion with our friendly Scots.
I've watched worse games of football between the top 4 in England, when there wasn't 90 MPH winds to fight against.
Three weeks ago Celtic went to Udinese the team top of the Italian league and matched them blow for blow, you stick to your championship football for its obvious you don't have a clue about real football
You have only made the champions league because of the exceedingly poor standards in Scottish football - most clubs, with their measly gates, would only make the lowest leagues in ?English football
as a rangers fan I would say that at the moment both clubs would struggle in the EPL. but considering EPL clubs get about £50mil a year from Sky and SPL clubs get £1mil it's not hard to see why. if rangers and celtic played in the EPL and received the big money then within a few seasons they could attract better players and it would only be a matter of time before they were challenging for the title. the hardest part would be trying to stay in the EPL for the first season without any money. as for europe, both teams have won european competitions (as have aberdeen) and considering they play in the poor league that you talk about, that was probably a much bigger achievement than your mega rich EPL clubs trying to buy the Champions League.
Jos Hooiveld managed 7 fleeting appearances in 2 years at Celtic and is apparently Southampton's best player. This alone breaks your entire up-your-own-arse argument.
That may be the case but the other poster said Southampton will be playing at a standard Rangers can only dream of but really it's the other way around isn't it? No matter what you or anyone else thinks of Scottish football Rangers and Celtic will always be playing in Europe against the top clubs in the world, a standard most ****ty English clubs can only dream of
