Please HIAG, you build your own reputation, and you are accused of things because of that. Has it not occured to you that guilty or not, you are a stand out suspect? Your reputation is controlled by you, and I fail to see how you can be offended by a accusation that fits the reputation you have built here. Stop acting like a child.

Didn't we see Daniel Levy bend over to Fergie on the Berbaflop saga?

He really doesn't have any resolve really does he. :)

Ancient history. Do you really think that now we're in with a chance, however slim, of winning the title we're going to sell our best players to our rivals?

No I don't no matter how slim, do you honestly believe you have a chance? A team who has only been the capitals top club once since the inception of the premier league and no experience of battling a title run in? You have done well so far but a season is longer than 17 games. Good stuff for you guys so far but dreams of a title are miles away.

He was banned from the Arsenal board for constant wumming. When we asked him to knock it off, he went off on his <diva> rant then too.

If he's complained to Mick, I would expect that Mick will ask Ginge and SW6 if they want him banned from your board too. He is the problem, so that is really the only solution. Unless he pipes down and apologies of course <ok>

What you believe is of no consequence in this situation. It's all about what Levy believes.

    Too true mate<ok>
I've e-mailed SW6 & Ginge to have the twat removed. WTF do these cretins come from? If I go on their board which is very rare its only to make a point or statement I don't stay there and make myself look a **** like him.

HIAG can't help himself - he's still bitter and twisted about being banned from the Arsenal board, that was months ago.
Typical case of a <diva> wum.

So past form and no experience of winning a title since the montgolfier brothers invented the hot air ballon is of no consequence because Levy believes?

Considering Levy controls the purse strings, yes! I didn't say that i agreed. However, even you would have to agree that this is the best chance we've had since the beginning of the premier league. If, as you say, future winners should be based on past form then preston north end would have been champions 120 times by now. Even during Liverpool's heydey Notts Forest and Villa managed to sneak the odd title.

Modric was poor against you because harry got his tactics wrong and played him out of position. Unless you watch all our games fully you won't know how instrumental he is to our team. He is not a massive goalscorer but his creativity makes up for it. He is just the type of player chelsea and arsenal need at the moment

The world has moved on, money dominates football these days, Tottenham have been outstanding this season but I'm afraid you can only win the league with mass investment and with City spending net £440m in last 4.5 years, Cheslea spending net £150m in last 3 years and Man Utd net £58m in last 18 months, I reckon Tottenham will need an immediate injection of £200m and they'll also need Man City and Chelsea to go broke in order to win a title.

in late 70s/early 80s Forest and Villa played on a much more level playing field.

It will be interesting to see what Levy does in January. I think he'll see this as the best chance Spurs have of winning the league and will therefore do what he should have done last season and get in the reinforcements to sustain a challenge in the 2nd half of the season. What he won't do is sell our best players.

Or, he'll realise that he needs to fund a £300m ground development and if someone is desperate enough to offer him 15-20% of the figure needed for just one of his players he'd be foolish not to consider it.

I admired the stance he showed in the Summer, at last someone standing up to greedy players, AW tried to do the same to Nasri but realised that £24m now or nothing in a year isn't good business, I know Modric has a long way to go in his current deal but his head was turned by £££ last Summer and there's no gurantee it won't happen again - didn't he put in a transfer request when the Chelsea ruples were offered ? What if they offer £200k a week, or £250k ? Tottenham can't match that

As you say, he's got plenty of time on his contract. Also, if we make the Champions League (or better) and he still wants to leave he won't be able to claim that the club has no ambition. He would be exposed as a mercenary. If, however, under the same circumstances he decided to stay then he would be loved all the more by Spurs fans.

I think he proved himself to be a mercinary last Summer when handing in a transfer request then refusing to train for a while (according to reports), he's not alone of course, the majority of players are mercinaries.
How Tottenham propose funding the ground development is key to decisions such as this - and if Modric does stay and agrees a salary of £100k or so a week, what about Bale, Adebayor and a host of others who have been outstanding for you ? I think levy will realise that compiling a group of players good enough to make the Champions Lge is one thing, paying them what the market says they're worth is harder when, like Arsenal, you're a well run club working to a budget.
Play on the big stage and you put yourself in the shop window, and the days of players wearing the shirt because they love the club are long gone, agents and foreign invenstment have killed loyalty
