Complaints to the Administrator of this site?

Who is the administrator/owner of this site? How do I make a formal complaint to him?

Also, if the owner of this site does not take immediate and effective action, is there anyone else I can complain to? Is there an organisation that hosts this site?

Some of you will have seen the remarks published by Ginger Marks (a moderator of the Chelsea board), accusing me of being another poster. The accusation is baseless and was clearly made maliciously and with a view to impugn me. I have offered him three or four chances to apologise, all of which he has spurned. I feel he has left me with no choice but to take this further. I don't want to do it, but his behaviour is utterly unacceptable.

Some advice and assistance would greatly be appreciated.

For anyone wondering I have checked the IP addresses and HIAG doesn't match with the user he was supposed to be pretending to be.

So you'd happily attempt to bypass the site owner's decision by ratting Ginger Marks in to the foum's web-hosts for the crime of falsely suggesting you were pretending to be someone else? How ****ing disproportionately precious can you get.

 

HIAG the guys a twat and I'm surpised he's a mod.

I pointed it out the other day, he fails to understand he is there to police the Chelsea board and not encourage slanging matches.

 

Because I write utter drivel and the site only gives points for lucid and insightful posts.

Not that I have to justify myself to you - whoever you are - but I have given Ginger Marks more than enough chances to apologise for making his baseless accusations.

I can forgive, and have forgiven many sleights against me - petty name-calling, disgusting insults, ignorant jibes - but I absolutely will not put up with being accused of being another poster, especially where that poster is clearly portraying themselves as someone I would not want to be associated with.

This behaviour in any one of us would be unacceptable, in a moderator it is utterly disgraceful.

 

I never said what Ginger Marks did was right, and you ignored my entire point about why you'd honestly go above the head of the not606 admins to vBulletin or whoever to try get the forum into trouble just because of one bad apple mod.

 

If you read my OP you'd see that I would only even contemplate doing that if I get no joy from who ever owns this site. He will be my first port of call.

I have to say, that I was not overly impressed with the way that my ban from the Arsenal board was handled, and I felt that the decision was biased in favour of the Gooner mods. Given that it is a mod who has made these baseless accusations against me, I am naturally worried that the same degree of bias will be demonstrated in favour of Ginger Marks and that my complaint will either fall on deaf ears or I will be fobbed off with some pointless rhetoric. I won't be fobbed off.

What Ginger Marks has done is wrong, and he has not only to be punished for his stupid comments, but he has to be seen to be punished for them. Otherwise, this kind of behaviour will be repeated, and someone else will fall victim to such libelous comments.

Maybe if you stopped wumming their board it would help.

Most posters are able to recognise that a visit to another team's board, requires a bit of self discipline. We might all be rivals, but a little bit of respect for that board's fans usually goes a long way and is generally reciprocated. Take here for example, you've got a Manc completely camped on your board, but he behaves, so you give him the time of day. If you simply go over to another board to wum, then you've got no complaint whatsoever if you're given short shrift.

It happened with you on the Arsenal board. We asked you time and again to tone it down, knock it off and show a little bit of humility, but you didn't and you still wonder why you were banned from our board.

 

You can re-invent your reasons for hounding the administrator to ban me all you like, I am not going to rehearse those reasons here. Suffice to say, that I don't exactly miss posting on your graveyard of a board, nor in trying to hold anything resembling a debate with the morons who make up the majority of your regular posters, including you.

Whatever, and regardless of all of that, there can be no excuse - none whatsoever - for any poster to make baseless accusations against another poster, designed to encourage fellow posters to think less of that person. It is craven and cowardly, especially in a so-called "moderator" who should be setting an example, not indulging in libelous comments, that could potentially damage the site and ruin it for everyone.

There was no need to 'hound the administrator'. He took one look at your wums posts and made his own mind up.

You were given ample opportunity by the mods to tone it down, but you chose not to.

You were banned from the Arsenal board, you were also banned from the Liverpool board for constant wumming and it now looks like you are about to be banned from the Chelsea board for the same offence.

There's a pattern developing here HIAG - It doesn't take a genius to work out what the common denominator is.

A formal complaint is in the process of being made, and I am content to leave it in the hands of the owner.

You might feel it to be in order for this site to be used as a means of making malicious and illegal attacks on other posters, I rather suspect that the owner of this site may feel that he cannot afford the same luxury.

 

Perhaps if you showed a bit of respect to other members of this forum - especially when you're on their boards, then you wouldn't be having this problem ?

I debated with HIAG a few times and his posts appeared to be constructive, no evidence of wumming that I could see, that said making formal complaints to web hosts ? ? ?
If you're that ****ed off with the moderating just find another forum mate, there's plenty to choose from

 

You are missing the point, Grizzly. Why should any of us put up with having baseless accusations made against us that we have a dual identity on this site? This wasn't some bit of banter between ordinary rank and file posters, this was a moderator telling everyone that he had "evidence" that I was posting as someone else. His comments were completely baseless, and made maliciously to encourage others to mistrust my postings. That is not only extremely offensive, but it is illegal.

Do you believe that that is any way for anyone, let alone a mod to act?

Do you think that it is right that any of us should consent to being victimized in this fashion?

There are a lot of posters on this site who I do not like, because I think they are cretinous fools, but I would not even wish on them this type of nasty victimization.
