AVB needs time in my opinion and as Ginge said the next two seasons are right offs because this should be the final season of the mourinho era and next season should be bedding in the new players and youngsters then the season after we should be challenging for major honours again, the only concern i'd have if we didn't get CL was attracting big names so obviously we'd have too but i for one wouldn't be too pissed if we came 5th as it isn't that bad considering how far we've come in the last 15-20 years. I suspect that Levy will report any team to the FA for tapping-up, bearing in mind the very clear message he gave to Chelsea, when he offered £40 million at the end of the last window. If I might remind you, Levy said - once, and once only - that Modric is not for sale "at any price." He didn't need to repeat himself, and don't expect him to, during the January window. If we make the CL next season, I cannot imagine that Modric will want to leave, whether or not Levy is prepared to let him go. And if Levy were ever to agree to his leaving, I am absolutely certain that nothing short of a record-breaking fee will prize him away from us, something more in £ity's league, rather than either Chelsea's or Arsenal's. Bale will be going nowhere, whether we make the CL next season or not. And as for the suggestion that Modric is nothing more than "above average," I can only assume that the person spouting such nonsense has never seen him play football, whether on TV or especially in the flesh. I have sat with rival fans at matches and every one of them has commented on how fantastic Moddy is, and marveled at the apparent ease with which he controls the ball and glides over the park. He is truly a genius. Why else would the Russian look to throw £40 million at him? As for United expressing an interest, I have seen absolutely nothing from that club to substantiate the hack journos' speculation on the matter. United know full well that any bid from them would have to start at £50 million, and I seriously doubt that they have that kind of money to blow on one player, when they have several other areas that they urgently need to address. Modric is not a replacement for Scholes, as some hack journos have ignorantly stated - VDV is more in that mould, if that is the kind of player they are looking for. Whatever, it's all academic, because Moddy is not, and will not be for sale, now, or at any time soon.
smnwllms or hiag No one said he would leave in January but United are keen to release Rooney up front and Modric would allow that to happen. Spurs whether they qualify or not will never be able to offer the wage he so obviously craves. Only the like s of europes elite like Barca, Real, United, Chelsea, AC Milan & PSG can. All of the clubs mentioned have more chance of be more successful in winning the UCL than spurs ever could. You better get used to it because Bale will be the next to ship out once the inevitable disappointment happens..

You might find them amusing, but whoever owns this site will not, as it is he that you will be landing in trouble if you do not retract them.

Regardless of the wumming that seems to have increased with an influx of exceptionally annoying Spurs fans, I will comment. I personally have grown tired of Modric. Great player no doubt but the whole saga has made me loose any interest in signing him. There are some just as good players for a lesser price and less wumming involved.

I thought it was at first but whether one is one or the other the fact remains There can be no sensible conversation with the minority of the spurs fans that live on our site. However most can talk sensibly but seldom feel the need to migrate here. We only get the worthless disruptive type. I'm just fed up with the situation.
In my opinion of course Modric is good enough to play for us and i'd welcome him with open arms, Meireles is a quality midfielder but would i choose Modric or Moutinho over him? Yes, modric along with Bale and Adebayor basically run spurs. His creative, fast, can pick a great pass and can finish, i'd love us to sign him because A) We need him and B) It would weaken spurs.
It sucks but we have to deal with it sadly. It would be nice to have intellgent discussion with friendly banter but it seems we mostly get idiotic comments and hatred whenever other clubs are involved. Sad really.
