Cabaye is settled and has only had 6 months premier league football, no top team would buy him yet and we wont sell after half a season. Also, with Cabaye's wife being settled in the NE, doesn 't really suggest he'd want to leave. Tiote is the only one mentioned I can see potentially leaving.

That's wicked you work for several top clubs! None of them would even be starters at any of the 'top clubs', so I really don't see that happening, especially considering 2 of the players mentioned have only been here for half a season. Besides, if the club's all about making a profit, they'd know you'd get a bigger price if you keep them longer and allow them to prove themselves longer. All of the sales this past year were at the highest price we'd ever receive for them, Carroll being the biggest price we'd ever receive, Enrique was gone on his own accord nomatter what, and Barton and Nolan are on the decline and wanted out. You can't compare them to the 3 players you mentioned.

Also, if its all about the pounds, why sell Simpson when we'd have to pay more for a replacement?

 

Deal. If we sell 2 first teamers in the window I'll create a thread saying you were right. Though if Simpson goes and we bring in a better fullback, that doesn't count (I don't expect to see him go either way though).

 

This is the thing he doesn't get. No one apart from maybe Tiote wants to leave. The only players we sold in that instance were Carroll (35mil, enough said) and Barton (Troubles with the board). We don't sell players who want to stay without a pretty good reason.

If i think about it i cant see tioite going in THIS transfer window, if hes not sold by the time hes gone off to the ACON i cant see him going, taking a medical over in africa wont be appropriate for any parties involved, plus fergie has said he will only bring in a "world class" player IF he does buy this january window, Tottenham's midfield is arguably the best or on par with City's in my opinion and he wouldnt get a game over Parker under Redknapp, i doubt Tiote would go to Arsenal (not a significantly big step up if im honest), City have enough Midfielders as it is but i wouldnt put it past them to try and lure him in the summer, its only really between Liverpool and Chelsea, so we'll have to see if either of them put in a bid and if Tiote wants to go to either of them.
