After listening to the latest interview with the great one saying his future lies long-term in england thought i'd get fellow fans opinions on what they'd prefer to happen with regards to Mourinho and the one they'd be happy with

    A) AVB to stay and Mourinho to manage another PL club ( Most likely this will be Manure )?

    or

    B) AVB to get sacked and Mourinho to come home to where he belongs?

In my opinion i couldn't even decide, I'd like AVB to stay mainly due to his young, he could manage us for at least 20 years and his rebuilding the team and we can't judge him untill his developed and formed his own team and style, but on the other hand i don't think i could bare JM managing another PL club especially not Manure as he was our great manager and belongs with us, but be interesting to see what others would prefer

    C) AVB to stay and Mourinho to manage the National team (if he really wants to come to England)

Hopefully in another 18 months we will know whether AVB is the real deal or not. This season is not looking too flash so far, but he has the Jan transfer market , and then the usual end of season madness, to clear out and build his own team. By July 2013, we can make a considered judgement on his qualities. That's when we should either stick or twist.

Totally agree, next season will be AVBs real first season, this season is just coaching the old guard for most of thems final season. I'm sure he will make big changes in the summer then were see how well his signings have been and how well his got the team going by the end of next season, if we do reasonably well then the season after should be the big one and we'll see how good AVB really is, if after the two seasons after this one we still haven't done anything of note in the league or champions league then it will be interesting to see what happens as Mourinhos contract ends in 2013/2014 i think.
I have a lot of faith in AVB and i'm sure next season and the season after will be great! This season hopefully top 4, next season hopefully top 4 again, a fa cup minimum and all the youngsters and fresh faces have adjusted, then the season after hopefully back to challenging for major honours !!

  6. There is a very real chance that The Special One will be our manager, in the not-too-distant future. He cannot fail to have been impressed by the quality of our football, this season.

I trust you boys will give him a big welcoming cheer, in our two annual fixtures <ok>

<laugh> Don't think you could afford his wages or the transfer money he'd want

And unfortunately for you HIAG ( i'm being serious here ) i can honestly see Madrid coming in with a big bid for Bale in the summer and i can't see him staying, or modric staying, not to mention when redknapp leaves. I think Bale and Mod would stay if Redknapp stayed but i reckon he'll do one more champions league season then go, and why would Modric and Bale stay when they can get 200k + at Madrid,Barca,Us or £ity

You have as much chance of that happening than Sherlock Holmes finding Lord Lucan riding Shergar on the Titanic. <laugh><laugh>

  11. You boys can scoff. I fully understand that what I'm saying may sound controversial to some. I had exactly the same reaction from the Gooners when I told them, before the start of this season, that we'd finish above them in the EPL.

As for wages, there's already been hot speculation that, should we make the CL again this season, the board will smash its wage structure in order to keep the likes of Bale and Moddy on board. The former has already made it absolutely clear that he intends to stay at Spurs (which is why you don't see all the silly stories linking him with every club with an ego larger than its coffers), so I don't see why wage demands should be a bar to installing The Special One at the Lane. Naturally, there'd be a massive bonus for him if he managed to bring us the glory that we so richly deserve.

What's your highest paid player atm if you know? I know your paying Adebayor 70k so it can't be much above that, now Bale can get 200k + easily at Madrid or £ity or even us, so you fully expect your going to smash it by about 100k? I'm sure he'd stay for 150k because i've read about Bale ( How much he loves the club and working with redknapp etc ) but it's going to be quite a big smash, and Mourinho is heavy duty, you need a big transfer budget and he is on a very high salary, not to mention with fergies time nearing the end why do you think he'll choose Spurs over Man u?

Jose would of course leave Real, a club that has won 9 Ecs for a club that has not won a big cup in 50 yrs

Maureen would only go to a club who can pay the fees and the wages that world class players want and Spurs are not one of those clubs. E.O.S <ok>

I was shocked when Jose got his P45. If he returns to the UK , for me it can oly be CFC!

  17. Simple. The Special One thrives on a challenge. We are a mere 2 players away from winning the EPL, anyone can see that. Jose would go down in history as the first manager since the great Bill Nicholson to bring the title back to the Lane.
