He's not really a play-maker, he doesn't make an awful lot of goals for others. He's a good footballer in a passing side, his defensive work has got better and better, he's one of the best around at shooting from distance and he's got the knack of turning up in the area at the right time. He'd be a good signing for Swansea IMO, not that I'd ever want to sell him.
Well Dawson has young Joe Dudgeon (bought from man utd) breathing down his neck so if his form dips JD will be in. But yes Dawson has been a loyal servant and proved himself in all leagues despite what many thought. As for Koren, yes he is quality end of. But sometimes drifts out of a game for long periods but then with one moment of magic can bang in a goal from anywhere, as he has done many times so far this season.
Thanks guys. I knew you had picked up plenty of ex-Man U defenders/youngsters, however I have seen only them play sparingly. Good luck for the rest of the season, I thought you would be dark horses and get into the top six, but do you think you can hope for any better?
That really depends on what business we do in January, something that will all be new to Nick Barmby. We have a strong starting XI, but we are fairly light on back-up players and if we lose a couple of key players to injury or suspension(Rosenior is out for our next game, having picked up five yellows), then we could start to slip a bit. It's looking good at the moment though, we're playing good flowing football, we just need to get a bit more clinical in the box if we're to challenge for a top two spot.
Just to add to Koren's ability. He has created several goal scoring opportunities with superb through passes. Pity Matty seems to miss them.

At the risk of sounding anal- unless I'm wrong of course- but isn't Keith Andrews only on loan at Ipswich?

I didn't actually see it, but I had it on the radio in the car and the commentators were raving about it.

It was a good save, but he'll probably never match his performance for us against Spurs, he was just unbelievable that day...
Well he is still technically a Premier League player, but he's not had much of a look in at West Brom, hence his loan to Brum. His shop stopping is pretty much second to none, unfortunately, his distribution and keeping at set pieces is rather less impressive. It was sad we lost him, he was literally in tears when he heard he was being sold, but we were skint at the time and we had little option. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he came back to us one day.
