    Morning Waddo and all,

I tried with my rumour mill, but people quite rightly ignored it, so will join forces with yours.

Righteo - the perennial favourite - Hugo Rodellega IN (it wouldn't be a TX window without it).

My NEW favourite - David Moyes - IN, let's get this one moving.

Er, Ridgewell - IN, Demba Ba - oh forget it.

Must get my thinking head on!

    Have a good day

    Nick

I remember someone on he Oatie a month or so back, claiming he got told by an agent at a dinner that Stoke wanted to buy Diame in the January Window. These adds a bit of credence to that claim.

Real Betis are ready to rival Wolves and Stoke in the battle to sign Wigan star Mohamed Diame.
Latics manager Roberto Martinez will have to fight to keep Diame at the club this winter, with a trio of clubs interested in signing him.
Diame has a contract until next summer but clubs are circling ahead of the transfer window opening.
The 24-year-old Senegal midfielder moved to Wigan from Rayo Vallecano in 2009 and Betis are keen for him to return to Spain.
Betis are ready to make a £3m move for Diame but Wolves and Stoke have also watched him this season and could be pressed into action if the Spanish side make the first move.

Manager Tony Pulis admits Stoke City will be relatively quiet when the January transfer window reopens next week.

The Potters were active in the summer, signing five players; Peter Crouch, Wilson Palacios, Cameron Jerome, Jonathan Woodgate and Matthew Upson.

It was a move that appears to be reaping the rewards, with the Staffordshire side through to the last 32 of the Europa League and in the top half of the Premier League table.

They face Spanish giants Valencia in the next phase of the Europa League and it is set to be another big year for the club.

But Pulis admits he is looking to move several fringe players out of the squad rather than bringing new players in.

    Decent squad

He said: "We think we have got a decent squad. If people become available who we like, then if we can do something, we will.

"But there are one or two in the squad as well that actually need to play some football.

"We have to recognise that and see if we can do some business there.

"So there might be a few going out - whether or not we bring a few in will be determined by if we feel it is right for the football club. It won't be as busy as it has been."

Meanwhile, the Stoke manager has been reflecting on a momentous 2011 with just one game remaining this calendar year.

They begun the year with a 2-0 win over Everton and have beaten Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal during that period.

They also made the FA Cup final, losing 1-0 to Manchester City, but secured their place in the Europa League as a result.

They end the year with a home game against relegation-threatened Wigan Athletic but Pulis says he feels proud of their achievements over the last 12 months.

    Great year

He added: "To get to a cup final and to qualify from a knock-out stage to a group stage and to get out of that group-stage and to be sat in the top ten in the Premier League; it's been a great year for us.

"The players should be very proud of what they've achieved.

"Everyone within the football club, from the chairman, right through to the family who run the business, to all the supporters, everyone has been as one, they've been together and that's why we've been successful.

"It's about managing expectations now. You take the club to a level that far exceeds what it should be achieving but then people want more and more.

"It's how you manage that expectation and you make sure you keep your feet on the ground which is always difficult.

"It's part of life, it's part of society today, everyone wants that little bit more all the time and you can only achieve a certain amount
