    I'd prefer Sam Vokes.

He's young, he's a proper centre forward, he wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and he's got a point to prove.

Just to throw another name into the hat....DJ Campbell, it's in the local paper that Blackpool are hoping to bring him back from QPR, even though they have millions they will be bidding buttons and paying peanuts. Anybody fancy a Dudley in the team.

I think if Nick is wise he will try and maintain the balance and spirit in the TEAM.

That will often mean certain, no doubt talented, footballers not even being considered because of the negative effect they might have on the existing team.

Madine, Campbell, Evans etc etc etc would probably fall into that brackett.

Campbell is a big personality, however I think Madine has changed in his ways over the last year. I'm not sure on Ched Evans though.

Anyone coming in for Evans is taking a hell of a punt, he might get sent down in March, I think it's more likely he will be a target for several clubs in the summer.

Campbell is an arse, we'll never go for someone like him.

Madine does seem to have calmed it down recently, but he's banging them in for fun at Wednesday and I think he'd be an expensive one(I hope we have a go anyway).

if we d have been at a better financial position when Carlisle got rid of Madine, we d have signed him. i think with mandaric at the helm, he will be out of a realistic fee level for such as us

There's been some discussion on the Wendies boards, about Mandarić being in financial difficulty and being forced to sell some players.

As Wednesday paid £800k for him, that's definitely true, he could go as high as £2m.

Isn't Mandaric up with Harry Rednapp in court in January for tax evasion, maybe he thinks he will lose and get hit for a bundle.

That's what the rumours on the Wendies board were about, they think that he's expecting to get stung with a massive tax bill.

Yes, but we want a goal scoring centre forward. His career average is 1 in 5. Not good enough IMHO

I always say it's stupid to judge strikers solely on goals, but it's nothing short of madness to write off a striker who is so young and untested at this stage of his career, when he's spent most of his time being injured or loaned out.
