RV: Get a small paper bag, hold it over your mouth, inhale and exhale slowly..............you'll feel fine shortly..............you lost a bit of carbon dioxide with the 14s, that's all...........
Not had a bet today as ive been in and out the house all day... But just sat down and seen that most or some had the 8/1 winner Syncronised... to all who did... Obv ive missed... I presume ome had it at longer odds... Even better But then i read that Oddy has missed out on a good return... Unlucky Oddy... Well done to all today... Another day for the Not606 forum...
Zen - I guess you'd have to say Rubi Light didn't stay BUT they didn't go a great gallop and QDLR couldn't go past him so it wasn't a massive stamina test. Mind you, Synchronised shot past the pair of them like he was Frankel
Rubi didn't get his ground today either, he's a bit of a machine on soft ground. I wonder how the Pipe team look at things now. Would they really fear the Gold Cup?
Cracking ride by AP and a fantastic performance by the horse but bejesus. If Sychronised can beat the best Irish chasers then this is a pretty dire crop.
Just seems a joke result. I thought Rubi Light was nailed on to be honest but didn't back him in the end because I couldn't bring myself to take the price when he was 4/1 earlier in the week! Good decision in the end. Disappointed he couldn't win to be honest. Will need to see the race to see what I think. More amazingly how on earth has Pricewise put that up? He doesn't half pull them out the hat. What was his reasoning?
I hate the idea of running a novice running in the Gold Cup but the race could be looking so bad that Grand Crus connections must be having a think....
Loose Performer was 15/8 to beat the decent Our Island when last seen so I think there is a fair bit of a bility at home. I've had a bit of 4/1
Grand Crus looks a stronger contender by the day. They must be tempted to have a pop now. The field looks thinner by the day.
It really is about time Pires did something again - I wonder if today could be the day with Ruby on board? Wouldn't put it past Tony Martin to lay him out for a race like this ....................
Grands Crus had demanded his own episode, Oddy. I was about to make him Episode 3 or 4 but we had a thread on him after his chase debut at Cheltenham so I left it for a while. But he has to be discussed.
I stood there watching Gloria Victis make a fatal error all them years ago so it's certainly not the race for a novice, but trying to find credible challengers this season appears a tough assignment, with Long Run regressing possible and Kauto at 12 who else is there ?
Loose Performer Have taken 8/1 on Launchpad who was impressive on good ground last season but has certainly struggled in testing ground. Does possess some ability if all is right.
