I'd predict both sharp and rhodes will head as expected to leicester and West ham respectively. Southampton will get jutkiewicz leaving an almighty chase for Maynard. Can't see us getting any of those four.

Sharp is rumoured to have said that he will not move house, as he is doing a lot of helping out at the hospital that looked after his wife and child. So I don't see him leaving donny in jan unless it's to someone close to donny. Only us who have any money but I don't see us going for him.

£3 million is far too steep for us. Especially in this division.

I've no idea why we bothered to talk to Burnley about Rodriguez, they already turned down a £4.5m from Saints, I can't believe we were considering bidding anything like that.

I thought that when I read about Rodriguez. They told Saints they weren't interested at £5m. Unless his contract is running down, they've no reason to sell for less.

Maybe we offered £2m and said we'd take Dean Marney back as a favour!

A loan from a PL club is looking more likely at this point....Vokes?

Or we could go to the lower leagues...Ched Evans / Gary Madine anyone?

He's contracted until March 2013, so they don't really have to worry about it this season.

£2m + Marney seems a bit steep to me, we'd be better off just offering them £6m. <whistle>

Plus an unlimited supply of training/match balls that have not been recovered from Marney efforts on goal! <laugh>

According to the past couple of days of nonsense on transfer-rumours, we're signing Scott Wagstaff, Jason Koumas, Paul Robinson(Millwall one), Danny Haynes and Bradley Wright-Phillips, with Venables coming in as Nick's No.2.

And Billy Sharp has already agreed to go to Ipswich(100% guaranteed from someone in the know).

And to Southampton(100% guaranteed from someone in the know).

And to Leicester(100% guaranteed from someone in the know).

And to Norwich(100% guaranteed from someone in the know).

And Jordan Rhodes is 100% definitely signing for ten Premier League clubs, all the Championship ones, along with Rangers and Celtic. <laugh>

Well if NP is allowing Beckford to go in Jan, as he is the most talented of all the strikers mentioned so far then i would not be surprised to see Adkins/Saints move for him. He had him at Scunny so knows how to handle him unlike NP.

Maynard has gone right off the boil, form wise so its hard to say who and how much anyone would bid for him ?

Was not impressed with Jutkiewicz of Coventry the other week. Just a big lump imo.

As not many clubs have much money it may well be PL loans for many championship clubs as the cheaper option ?

as for the Tigers, we dont need much at all. 1 possibly 2 strikers IN (if OJ leaves). am happy to wait and see what NB does now.

If names mentioned are out of the question I'd be looking at Boyd Peterborough, Iwelumo Watford or Henderson at Millwall. Iwelumo and Henderson both impressed at the KC.

He's been linked with Southampton anyway, as he's a Saints fan, and is from Southampton, I can only see one outcome <ok>

Even though Iwelumo ALWAYS scores against us, I'm not a fan, I think he's a lump. Henderson looked very good even though he was starved of service. He' be high on my list.

Boyd is a great player but not sure what we'd do with him. Don't think he's as disciplined as McLean. But he's probably more talented. I'd take him anyway and work the rest out later.

but let's face none of those are realistic targets for differing reason!

I wouldn't say Boyd was an unrealistic target.

I'd buy Beckford (for £1.5m - £2m max)...see link. Most of them reckon the reason why he's not scoring is because their midfield is rubbish....whereas our midfield is great. The 3 club rule also goes out the window apprently (has to be at the same level). He'd have to take a wage drop I reckon though....or pay off from Fester.

They'll never get rid of Beckford without a pay-off, he's on way too much money and on a four year deal, he's their Bullard.

He's got a piss poor attitude and I wouldn't take him on a free, even with his wages halved.

with the players we have available to us now, I d say he's unrealistic. however, if maybe a scottish under 21 international were to go out on loan as well as a hard working striker/midfield player were to head twoards france, them maybe the case could be made. but why peterboro would even consider selling, i dont know?

Shame about Sharp, although realistically we never had a chance of securing his signature. Players I'd like to see us have a look at now are:

    Gary Madine
    Craig Davies
    Bradley Wright-Phillips
    Lukas Jutkiewicz
Nicky Maynard (I'm not sure on how much interest he'll receive after a poor last 6 months)
    Darius Henderson
