Cameron Jerome has a **** goal ratio- like1 goal in 5 games. would expect that from an attacking midfielder
I also think one signing is in the bag, but it won't be announced until near the deadline because Cortese loves to torment us.
According to Saintsweb, we're bidding for Xherdan Shaqiri of Basle. It's clearly bollocks, but thought I'd share it.
Would love to see that happen. Someone on twitter said that we are going to bid for a top international player. I asked who.. He said: I just heard it I'll try and find the link
We may bid but there is no way we will get him, he is one of the hottest properties in Europe, playing for a team in the Champs League knockout stages and has been linked ith the likes of Barca, Real Madrid and the Milan clubs. Obviously would be over the moon if it happened but I think theres more chance of Anthony Pulis being in the England squad than Shaqiri joining Saints.
I made on up on the old 606 and I remember DTLW then posted it as a new thread Think it was something like Bellamy on loan and the controversial one; Richard Hughes from Pompey (whose contract was coming to an end)

They were always, always, always going to bid for him. This really isn't news for me. It's all about whether or not he wants to join them. In terms of immediate prospects, the best they can offer him is a possible play-off spot. But that's basically two gambles in one - one, getting into the play-offs, and two, winning the play-offs. There are at least five sides in the division who can offer him a much higher chance of Premiership football next season (not to mention up to 20 sides who can offer him that chance immediately!). But money talks, and so I wouldn't be surprised if he listened - and nor would I be disappointed in him for listening.
Neither a surprise nor a disappointment, but Forte could be on his way out: http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/walsall-fc/2011/12/28/saddlers-ponder-move-for-jonathan-forte/
I can't see Sharp joining us. He turned us down before as we weren't prepared to break our wage structure for him, and as much as I'd like to think he'd be better off with us as we have a better chance than most of making the premier league, money talks and also we are probable too far south for him! Sorry to put a dampener of that one.
What do you guys think of getting Raheem Sterling on loan till the end of the season. The guy is very young but offers something different and will always be a treat with his pace and skills. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReBlQJua2xw
