excellent choice love that song they played it when i saw them years ago brilliant it was hugh cornwells last gig before leaving got it on tape somewhere shady recording but recorded on a sony recordable walkman has me and my mates screaming 'down in the sewers ****ers' they did it as an encore

jj burnell was amzing he was playing on one leg and **** like that doing some crazy **** whilst playing amazing bass

Meat is Murder is possibly one of my favourite albums I never hated them

 

Meat is Murder is a brilliant album. It's amazing how many people this time last year never even heard of them until they overheard me listening on my iPod that now love them. Never even gave them a chance in the first place

This song's quite cool, the songwriter (like 20 years before John Lydon did the butter advert) is basically saying rockstars say they're punk until they get a taste of the fame and the lifestyle and don't care about punk lifestyle anymore.
