I meant that I lost in the playoffs playing on legendary <laugh>

I thought the whole 'player stories' thing was good this year, but was only interesting for the first 3 or 4 instances of it. After that it was 'Oh my God, **** off!' <laugh>

Especially when the commentators talk non-stop about Andy Dawson refusing to sign a new 1-year deal in my second season, constantly saying 'they've dropped him' etc when Dudgeon has always been first choice...

Anyway, I agree they need to include more detail, but as much as Football Manager detail would be amazing, it's a lot to ask. There're adding more and more each year but it'll never reach that level. It'd be good if FM and FIFA were made compatible together, so that you could do off the pitch activity on FM and then on the pitch activity on FIFA. But then, it would pretty much defeat the object of FM I suppose.

EA should pay Sports Interactive (makers of FM) to use their database in FIFA. SI let PES use their database a couple of years back.

That'd be much better. Cam Stewart, 65 overall, James Chester, 66? And then Macca 70 <laugh> I've edited half of the city squad to give a bit of realism, and I reckon I've done well not to be too biased <laugh>

I don't even play FIFA and that still annoys me. FIFA and Pro Evo both judge players on reputation rather than what actually happens in reality (ie McShane being more established than Chester means he must be better) FM on the other hand somehow have this knack of knowing about obscure youth team players (for example Stewart on FM 2010 is as quick as he is in real life, how did they know?!)

FM have a massive reality scout system, ie real life scouts build the database. I've actually found a fair few players years before they came good in reality because of the system. Everton signed a deal with Sports Interactive in '08 to get hold of their database in advance. After losing Walsh maybe we should do the same!

I only just got it for Xmas. Not great yet but once I've mastered defending, I'll have a go online.

Chester and Rosenior are great in FM however both are mediocre in Fifa.

I feel they underestimate pace for the lower league sides in Fifa, as if it's a case of:
    'his rating is too high'
'oh, just make him slower then'

Stewart isn't exactly Walcott I know but he's still considerably faster than he's been made on the game, as is Rosenior.

I completely agree, Stewart is near useless in the game. He has hardly any pace, his dribbling is poor as is his shooting. In reality he's our quickest and one of our most skillfull players. Football Manager normally gets players bang on though.
