I actually thought that was a really good first half. The equaliser was a quality finish from an unlucky deflection, there's nothing that could've been done. The only negative is that we should have been 2 or 3 goals up by the time Fletcher scored anyway.
Definitley 2pts dropped - gutted. Henessey was the difference, if it wasn't for him this game would have been 3-1 or 4-1
careful now , negativity is not allowed. That was another masterpiece of tactics. Ramsey was fantastic again . Wenger is the true tactical master at beating teams like the mighty wolves. Even with 10 men . To repeat what i said last week . . i bet AC Milan will be dreading playing us.
is the use of Arshavin just shop-window for January sales? If so I'd have thought the price is dropping the more he plays.
Got to mention that grade a prick Stuart Attwell. Can't control the players to save his life, slows the game down to have one of his one minute chats every time there is a foul. Also stood right in front of Van Persie when he was about to take a free kick. The man is an amateur. Worst ref I have seen this season.
I thought that Ramsey did well when he came on. Can't remember a single misplaced pass. Arshavin was alright as well. I would have bought on OXO to use his pace and crossing. Rosicky or Ramsey might be excellent on the ball and can produce good crosses, but they lack pace. Djourou should have been taken off earlier, his attacking play was simply awful.
Chamakh came on and then went off after he got a knock on the head. I do not think he touched the ball. Hilarious sub. Oxo must be starting to wonder what the hell he has to do to even get a sub appearance.
RVP was really poor yesterday - this record thing is clearly on his mind - he had 3 or 4 chances to give a ball to a player in a better position, but all his thoughts were on scoring another goal. Wenger joked about it before the match, but it was clearly the case. "36" is all Robin can think about at the moment.
Such a fustrating game. I think when Ramsey came on he did very well, he looked more likely to unlock the defence and I think if he had come on 5-10minutes he would have. The referee was pretty awful, especially when he was stood in Van Persie's way and then he had the cheek to tell him to hurry up. He also would stop the game for a good 2minutes when we were picking up the pace and piling on the attack. I wasn't impressed with him and I don't often say that about referees. Have to say though, Hennesey (sp?) was very good today and any other day we would have won 4-1 easily. Oh well, onwards and upwards to our next game!
