    Defoe won't start when they play 4-5-1 as they've set up today but I'm surprised he's not on the bench, is he injured?

    not sure? hopefully he is saving himself for us!..imo its about time the PL stopped this loaning top quality players subsidised by the parent team(adebeyor) to other Prem teams.Its not what it was meant for, and gives advantage to the team who has the loanee! after all would spuds pay 150k a week to him? no!

    What it does do, it lets the "lesser" teams have some quality players they couldn't afford to buy. Also more quality players for the supporters to see. So if it is allowed why not take advantage. Doesn't matter whether you are top or bottom of the league.

    it gives an unfair advantage..if you cant afford a certain player than you shouldnt be able to sign him! also adebayor plays against all man citys rivals yet cant play against his parent club.Which means ,given citys wealth they could purchase top quality players then loan them out to their own advantage..It does'nt matter what our opinions are ,the PL will close this loophole next season.

    Deano what would happen to the those outside the 25 nominated players, they wouldn't get a game at all. Take Walker, he wouldn't be first choice for Spurs if he hadn't been loaned to us and Aston Villa. So Spurs benefitted and so did we. Would anyone not wanted to have seen Walker playing for us?
    So smile when Messi and Ronaldo come on loan in January. ;)
