What's City's best victory - that you saw - at BP?

Coming from 2 down at half-time to beat Derby 3-2 in the mid 80's. Steve McClaren and Billy Whitehurst (2).

1994/95 Hull City 7-1 Crewe. The only time I went to BP and stood in the away end because a mate of mine was a Crewe supporter - sods law.
Windass hat-trick but I couldn't even celebrate. Heres the goals:

Remember seeing us beat Stockport 7-0 with Andy Flounders scoring after about 9 seconds and going on to score a hat-trick. Caught one of the signed, orange plastic balls the players used to kick into the crowd that day too.

It was a promotion season, so I would say 82/83. Very sunny day, so either at the start or end of the season.

Actually scrub that, it was in January!!

I reckon I might be mixed up with a game against Rotherham in the April of the season after that, we won 5-0 and Bobby Mimms made his league debut in goal for them (he later went on to play in the great Everton side of the mid 80's).

I definately got the signed ball against Stockport though!

Craig - if you're lifting the scores off Hull City Mad's statistics, they all show 0-0 at half-time.

It was after Xmas 1965, City beat Millwall 1-0? not sure; it was a large crowd and the BP was bouncing, we were a fantastic team that year, Cliff Britton had built one of the best teams we ever had! COYT :1980_boogie_down::smiley-finger007::emoticon-0103-cool::cheesy:

I was at the match on the south stand, a great atmosphere. For me the victory of Notts Forest 2-0 in the FA cup the same season was an outstanding result as they were in the first division then.

Spurs at home just after John Kaye had been sacked, would rank up there with my favourites. I think we went down that season...late 70's

Night game, we won 2-0 Alan Warboys scored both.

Always liked night games at BP. If only for the almost blue light from the six pylons, which made that fantastic green pitch 'shine' with dew on it

    1984 Brisbane road.

City were 4-1 down at half time. Ended up winning 5-4.

    Andy Flounders day!

Same thing, click on any of them scores and they are 0-0 H/T because the data for the sites was input retrospectively, probably because nobody can really remember so they just use the fulltime scores.

Then again one of the lads on Amber Nectar would probably know.

Good find! I've been wanting to see this again since the first and only time I saw it back in '94. I always remembered we were allowed a ridiculous handball in this match but over the years have started thinking I imagined it as it has never been discussed anywhere, (although I do remember an extended analysis of it by Saint and Greavsie back in the day!)

One of the first games I ever went to, but don't remember too much about it was the Tigers 9 - 0 thrashing of Oldham Athletic 5th April 1958. You don't see many scores like that these days.
