Yeah, Evra and Nani down that left side looked like UTD's biggest threat tonight. They were quality. I think Smalling done quite well as well.
Only issue with Nani on the right is that oddly nani is better at shooting with his weaker foot for some reason. 8 out of 10 of his goals this season has been from his left foot. But the Valencia return could be a big bonus for us and give us the creativity we lack. The season is too tight to call in my opinion as Utd and Arsenal don't look great and capable of running away with it. Its going to be so tight and it will be interesting to see how Arsenal bounce back. I fully expect arsenal to beat orient quite easily. Against Sunderland who will want to prove something as well as Arsenal its going to be tight without RVP, FAB, WALCOTT.
You're right. I've never actually seen Valencia use his right foot. Literally never. I don't really rate Valencia, he's too one dimensional. Oberton has more potential imo. And Arsenal will fight till the end, but we'll bottle it against Sunderland (this week), Stoke away and Fulham. The Arsenal v Man Utd game at the Emirates later this season will end in Arsenal's favour, I think.
Kamran you can't predict a game already because so much can change. Man Utd or Arsenal could lose major players. Forms could dip and everything else. For that game we should have many of our players back. Disagree on Valencia he is a class player for us and always puts a deadly ball into the box and he is right footed. You got it the other way round. Also he is defensively strong and will allow Rafa to bomb forward much more than he does and give us real threats on the wings. Obertan? are you kidding me. He can barley get past his full back and has no final ball at all and is pretty poor. With Valencia we have a class crosser of the ball and a lightening quick winger who is very strong and muscular and built who does the wingers job well. With Nani we have the flamboyance and the skills and a classy selfish winger. He has 15 assists now our Nani and is the leading assister by 4 assists now in the league and has 9 goals to his name.
You're right about me predicting the outcome of the Arsenal v Utd too early. But if both teams have their major players fit, then I'd fancy us. And with Valencia, I think we're just gonna have to agree to disagree. Like I said I think he's too one dimensional. He does work hard for the team and stuff but he's just not a complete player. And yeah, his delivery isn't bad either. I don't think he'll be the player he was before the injury. Just like Eduardo, he'll recover physically but not mentally.
Fair enough, I was interested to hear your response to that. But I agree, players who go through an injury of that seriousness rarely gain the confidence to play to their greatest. Almost a bit of paranoia....
Valencia is a very strong character. He will bounce back and Rio has been saying he is as quick as ever and has built so much muscle and my words is he a beast. Ronaldo has many dangerous injuries and recovered. Its an individual thing and everyone is different. You can't apply the Eduardo injury which was worse to Valencia because they are 2 very different personalities.
Yeah, Eduardo's injury was probably worse, but I don't think your character or personality matters much. He will be afraid to go in for 50-50's and lose a yard of pace. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, Cisse recovered from a horrific injury and he's been top scorer on the Greek league for the past two seasons.
Fat Ronaldo recovered from many serous injuries and even became world player of the year after one. Valencia is said to not have lost a yard of pace and he is fine but its a wait and see thing. Many said he would not of recovered by now and it took Eduardo much longer to recover as well. Its took Valencia 5 months to recover and he has done everything in his power and has worked so hard. Lets wait and see
I don't anyone expects Valencia to come back flying and in top form. He will be used mostly as a sub and weaned in. No manager would throw a player in after such a bad injury. He will need reserve games as well.
No injury can be as serious as a break. He suffered many ligament and small niggling injuries. As far as I'm aware, he's never suffered from a leg break or anything like that.. Anyway, I'm off to bed. Have a very fine night gentlemen. It's been very good debating with you guys
No-one cares about spelling and grammar. This is a football forum, we come on here to discuss football, not spelling and grammar. Only an idiot would care about another person's spelling or grammar on a football forum.
