Should we give Raylor a chance at RM when Santon gets back?

  1. Actually, I'll admit I was wrong. I thought about it, and I reckon we should just stick with Ober.

I just get so frustrated at times when he puts in crappy balls, but I have to say I was thinking about some of the good passes along the ground he puts in and some of them are really threatening.

    Sorry everyone.

  2. I still always had faith in ober, I just think It could have been a worthy experiment, but I agree it would be silly.

Ober to continue starting for me.

Unfortunately this isn't Football Manager and experimenting in league games is not the best way to pick up maximum points, as you cannot simply restart the game and try again. Every game counts. The cup however is a different matter...

Obertan would be better as impact sub

I think he will come good, but i think he should be a bit part player this season.

How long are we supposed to wait before he actually starts games then? He'll be 23 next season, a winger's best years are earlier than in other positions.

Don't understand people's arguements that Obertan doesn't use his pace to beat the full back so replace him with Raylor who has no pace. Surely you end up with the same result. Just saying.

Tough one. Obertan has been utter crap of late. But now and again he gives you a glimmer that he has ability. Extremely frustrating player to watch. Truthfully I don't see him ever amounting to anymore than a squad player. He has extreme pace but doesn't really know how to use it. His crossing in the main is poor and all too infrequent. His defending is something to behold. He can get back no trouble when it suits him, his pace is allied with great fitness levels afterall. But once there he refuses to close down his man and allows runners off the back of him all the time. Simpson and Colo seem to hand out regular bollockings but to be honest he doesn't seem too bothered by it. The lad also seems to suffer from a lack of confidence. The number of times he gets one on one but just doesn't have the confidence to push it past his man and go is unusual.

However his pace does add something to the way we play. If you were saying Obertan or Hoilett I'd take the one with a brain everytime. But Raylor? Maybe, but I'm not totally convinced that he is as cute as say a Barton, in order to compensate for the drop in pace. We score a lot of goals from quick breaks from what I can see.

At least with Raylor, you get an OK cross.
