Ahhh I was confused for a minute. When you say 'player of the year 2011' award you actually meant 'which teams fans can click on a link on the sky website the most' award? Close fought thing between united and Liverpool fans who have nothing better to do
Pretty much, the issue was though that sky got actively involved in deciding the outcome in case you hadn't noticed.
Well i would say it's more fair that he won anyways, the only ones that would have come close is Aguero and maybe Silva. RVP has been in the prem for a while now and has settled in now and only just started scoring the goals. Aguero like Suarez has only recently joined and has been awesome this season, but doesn't play the whole 90 very often and i've seem games where he does very little. Silva has been immense but hasn't scored the goals. Suarez is still new to the prem and has settled in like he's been there for years, hit the post more than any other player and does things i haven't seen in a Liverpool shirt in a long time. I would say him for the amount he does for the team not just the goals. If Nani would of won it, should of been a joke, guy is so hot and cold.
RVP has only just settled into the prem, you on crack. Whenever he hasnt been injured hes practically been getting a goal a game ever since he came here, RVP and silva deserve it way ahead of suarez and maybe even kompany. still sky are scummy as ****
The award for Services To Anti-Racism goes to Martin Luther Ferguson. The way that guy has progressed from defending Peter Scheichal against any charges of racism on the basis that a police investigation councluded that they didn't have any evidence to prove a case in a court of law; to being so delighted that another player could be branded a racist on the word of another player with evidence that would be laughed out of a proper court of law (and indeed would have the original accuser charged with racism themselves) is absolutely NOTHING to do with expediency, and everything to do with Ferguson's deeply held convictions. Someone give that man a peeled onion for his acceptance speech....
Were you at the hearing to hear what evidence was put across? No. Has Sir Alex come out and said he is delighted by Suarez's punishment? No. Stop making up crap
When sky put up the result for the player of the year they had nani as the winner - the winner was suarez - they never mentioned that you could not vote for suarez after 12 - they made it look like suarez only won it on a technicality but that nani won if all the votes were included
