Just got in from familys! I wont bore anyone- but had my money on Long Run (was alright had 3/4 winners today Grand Crus, Binocular & Our Mick) but what a fantastic horse and jockey- I will continue to back Long Run- Kautos age will finally catch up with him (at some point unfortunately.) But what a run today! Well done
But now on to Binocular- Really hard fought race to win, answered all questions put to him by McCoy and Rock On Ruby, he wins when not travelling 100% shows signs of a great champion! But will have a lot to do to compete at the festival! But Well Done Binocular!
What a day and what a result. I feel privileged to have been there. I'll try and post a few comments because there were a few observations that might prove useful for people.
P.S. I have now done two Daily Threads, the Betfair Chase and the King George. Leave the Gold Cup to me and it's a formality. I am supposed to be doing my dissertation presentation on that day but unless they arrange it at a time when I can still get to Cheltenham they can sod off. I wouldn't miss the GC for anything. It will be a massive race, and is now shaping up nicely. Kauto and Long Run, plus Captain Chris and Somersby, plus a few of the Irish, and maybe Grands Crus (?). Gutted to hear about Master Minded. He was well beaten at the time but I understand he made a mistake at the 2nd last, struck into himself and was pulled up lame. I have heard it is a severed tendon which means he must be unlikely to race again. I just feel sorry for connections because it must temper what should be a perfect day. I hope he's OK and that it is not as bad as feared.
Bet you were gutted Diamond Harry pulled out! You would have had a huge result with CC e/w but well done on the Tricast and forecast! Some great tipping!!
