Kelvin Davis - 7, Didn't need to do a lot but was dependable. Frazer Richardson - 8, He has improved no end and is very important to us this season. Jose Fonte - 8, Looked a little more like his old self and was motivated by being captian and playing gainst his old club. Jos Hooiveld - 8, This guy gets stronger and stronger. I really like his attitude. He obviously likes playing for us. Danny Fox - 7, Solid display. He is an excellent crosser and his dead ball work is first class. Steve De Ridder - 7, Played well and so pleased to see he has learned about the need to track back. I was impressed by how much he has matured. Morgan Schneiderlin - 10, This man is just brilliant. He should play in this position every week. Jack Cork - 7, He clearly enjoys playing with Morgan who manages to bring the best out of him. Adam Lallana - 7, A quiet game by his standards. He put his shift in but today was one of those games where he didn't manage to impose himself as he normally would. Guly - 9, An unsung hero who adds so much to this team but gets very little credit for it from a section of the crowd. The crowd needs to get off his back before they damage an undeniable talent. Rickie Lambert - 7, Did what he always does which is to try very hard and want to win. Denied a goal by a brilliant save. David Connolly - Not on long enough Dean Hammond - On long enough to pass backwards and sideways several times.
Jack Cork MOTM to me. In the first half, there was a 32 pass move that resulted in a corner (i was counting!) and Cork touched it ELEVEN, yes ELEVEN times. Guly touched it 4 times and Lallana 5. It seemed to me that everything in the midfield went through him and he kept winning the ball. I agree that Schneiderlin was class today but Corkey IMO, just pipped him
Sometimes I just wish I had access to the Saints player. I would love to see that move again. In truth it is difficult to see how anyone could fault our players tody unless they are addicted to those stupid talent shows and have picked up the insultingly rude and offensive ways the so called judges speak to the various contestants.
sorry but i havent had the best of nights tonight - in regards to your earlier question, i felt Lallana was much improved today and offered a threat going forward, and if De Ridders crossing was any better he would have exceeded Lallana, but as it was his crossing let him down today IMO
