Our main goal is to qualify for the Champions League. If we don’t it would be a major disappointment.

Remember this quote before the start of the season offf JW Henry, I agree with him

It was always going to be hard, Six clubs all with real aspirations and all spending money that demands CL football. However we're not making it easier for ourselves, not beating the teams at the bottom of the league and being held to ransom when buying players. If Villa had told me that Downing was going to cost 20mil, I'd have told them to **** off and gone looking for someone actually worth that money.

Not just referring to this summer, without the past years of ridiculous spending Citeh wouldnt be where they are now and that goes for Spurs as well.
I accept that Arsenal had a profit, due to the fact they steal the players as youngsters (although this is getting hard for them now)

I think everyone agrees with him about being disappointed.

I think anyone with any sense would also recognise that getting top 4 in our first year of rebuilding is very optimistic, especially with the likes of Spurs and City establishing themselves as top teams. In previous years we could have an average season and qualify for CL as there was only 4 teams really in it. Very different story now, and expecting it in our first season with new owners and a new management team is very naive.

Some of our signings have been **** - but in comparison to where we were and the squad we had last year I see a vast improvement. I'm prepared to back our re-building process 100% and I'm not expecting anything great for a couple of years yet.

If I were you I'd go and have a mince pie and reflect on what the situation of our club was this time last year, maybe you'll see the massive step forward we've took. FFS we could be in administration by now and people are moaning because we're not top 4..... A bit of prospective wouldn't go a miss.

Yep, but so did Citeh at first and that didnt get them European football straight away. Most of that money was badly spent for a start and was compensating for the fact the previous owners had let the clubs playing staff dwindle to a bare 11 of players worth keeping
