One booking too many so it's up to great Scott and I'm sure he'll not disappoint against Orient.

Back to my Cornish Xmas base now - I was at the game today.

We started off brightly and they scored against the run of play with what was probably their first foray into our area - there seemed to be a bit of confusion/no communication when trying to clear the free kick that was pumped into our box and Kermorgant clattered into one of our own players whilst managing to head the ball closer to our goal. Hamer then came out to challenge for the dropping ball when he possibly should have just stayed on his line and Obika overhead kicked into our net, not the cleanest of strikes but fair play, it was effective.

We equalised fairly quickly via a Green corner which Hollands headed in at the back-stick. We then went on to dominate the rest of the half whilst battling against the wind which was strong at times. Unfortunately we couldn't quite get the goal to put us in the lead.

We came out second half and I was expecting more of the same, however for the first five mins it was as if we were still sat in the dressing room. Yeovil took full advantage of this scoring a headed goal from a corner, the scorer seemed to get a free header from around the penalty spot.

We started to wake up and Yeovil gave away a needless free-kick on the edge of the area, Yann was fouled and then placed the dead ball, waited for the whistle and curled a beauty over the wall and into the top corner, was possibly the only place I thought he couldn't get it - cracking strike.

Again, we went on to dominate the majority of the second half, the Yeovil keeper pulled off a couple of brilliant saves from Morrison and then Ephraim. Yeovil attempted some time-wasting (not as bad as Oldham though) to try to secure a point. The clock passed 90 and the fourth official held up the board signalling another 4 mins. Then Green whipped what to me looked like a hopeful ball low across the area and it nestled into the far corner and sent the travelling Charlton fans into raptures - Green ran to the corner where the Charlton fans were situated and celebrated wildly.

Yeovil then came at us for what felt like about 8 minutes and Hamer pulled off a good save to prevent an equaliser but we managed to hold out for the win.

I'd probably say Kermorgant was MOM, closely followed by Morrison.

Well worth the 250 mile round trip and my girlfriend's mum had my leftover Xmas dinner heated up for me when I got back. Perfect...

Now for a few more Xmas drinks... <cheers>

Just saw the goals on Sky Sports - Greens shot was a bit tame - and almost trickled into net !
A big day for us - almost a 6 pointer, as at one point, we were losing and Wednesday were winning.

Great Scott wasn't fit for the bench today so he may not be fit to start, or even sit on the bench, in five days time. If not, who should play wide right? I would go with Pritchard with Harriott or Evina on the bench.

If CP was willing to play Benson at CF he could play BWP on the right. The change might cheer him up. But they won't play Benson so that's out and I don't fancy Euell or Smith starting.

Another option is to play Evina LM and Ephraim on the right (he is right-footed).

Apparently Green was unlucky to be booked today, but he has picked up some stupid cards previously so he can't complain.

A question: is Saturday Ephraim's last game if there is no new deal?

Another option Eddie is for Jackson to return into LM and Ephraim to move to RM

Green is always in the refs faces and gets needless bookings but part of his make up....Johnny Robinson used to winge at refs but wern`t a bad player.

Walsall scoring against Wednesday, and Green scoring in stoppage time: was this the best 5 minutes of our season?

Agree there..if scores had stayed as they were at 90mins our lead would of been slashed it wouldof been 3 without a win heading into 2 london derbys. Now confidence will be sky high and we dont kick off at the O`s untill everyone else has played.
I`m lovin being charlton this season.

Of course, but I would hate to see him rushed back before he is 100%. We are not exactly in a crisis. Evina would hold down a place in most teams in this division.

The gap to 3rd placed Sheffield Wednesday has closed to just eight points.

    Sort it out Powell!
