We always finish strongly when Spurs and Arsenal traditionally fade.

Expect more of the same 2012

In Late February we were 11 points behind Arsenal and I maintained all the way throughout the season to my Arsenal mates that we would finish above them and we did.

We are 2 points behind Spurs in December and Spurs have not played a tough away game yet (I don't include August games because they are curtain raisers).

I would be very surprised if we didn't finish at least 6 points clear of Spurs, as good as they are we are slightly better and haven't come into form yet.

Agree. Would like to see the little Spudlettes finish ahead of Liverpool, but I think Queen kenny's chequebook will edge them out into fifth or sixth

I can't see Liverpool getting near the London clubs this season. They'll spend big but will take time to gel. I can't see Spurs finishing lower than 5th but a lot depends on Adebayor and Bale. Without those two players IMO Spurs are not that good. I think if you took the best two players out of our team (which IMO are Ramires and Mata) we would still be a team capable of finishing top 4.

I don't buy into the myth Arsenal are a one man team, they'll spend in January and Wengers signings always gel quickly. With Arsenal it's the philosophy not just the personnel.

If Adebayor were to get injured or suddenly lose interest which he often does, Spurs would be in big trouble. If they get that Leandro guy which I have a hunch they will they'll be a shoe in for top 4 IMO <ok>

  10. I have quietly been reading the progress of this thread, waiting to see how you show against Fulham, and I must say that some of you really do need to have a reality-check.

When I said that we are the only London team with a creditable hope of serving up CL footy next season, I meant it. Look at your lot! You couldn't even beat Fulham at home, and yet you're all bragging about how you are going to finish 2nd! Already, we are a point ahead of you and with two easy games in-hand, and yet you continue to brag about finishing above us <doh>

All the Chelsea fans I know in the real world are level-headed blokes, who continue to seriously question their top-4 credentials this season. In fact, I'm struggling to think of one Chelsea-supporting idiot that I know, in the real world. Nope! Can't think of one, you must all be on this site. Well, at least you are all in one place, so we know where to come to laugh at you <ok>

Spurs and Arsenal will be battling for 3rd and 4th

Chelsea will be lucky to finish above Liverpool for 5th at this rate.

Just shows you how the quality of the Premier League has deteriorated when Spurs have a chance for 3rd place.

  13. The quality of football we have played this season has, more often than not, been sublime. We are the neutral's choice for classy football. And we have some of the most talented footballers in the league.

You Chelsea boys need to have a lot more humility, because you are all making yourselves look like bitter fools.

It's a well known fact that Spurs have the most arrogant deluded fans there are.

When Spurs have won something or achieved anything of late, maybe then you can tell us about "quality of football" "classy football" "humility" and "talented footballers" <doh>

  18. The only real plus for these Chelsea boys is that 'Pool failed miserably to close the gap on them.

You want to nip over to the 'Pool board. All the Mickey Mousers are suicidal. It's hilarious!

Don't mean to butt in on this love-in, but you mention humility and class yet that statement made it sound like you battered us and Chelsea didn't, whereas it's actually the other way around. Stockers was outstanding today for us the same as Friedel was for you at CC.

Ever heard the term 'gracious winners?'
