"He stands and falls by his results. Obviously, if he does not deliver, he knows his job is on the line and that applies to all managers.

"Simon and his backroom staff don't have a bad record. This year is the ultimate challenge for him, his staff and, just as importantly, the players.

"For those whose ambition is to play in the Premier League, well... get us there!"
Now what kind of a hypocrite is Bates. How the hell does he expect promotion given his lack of support in the transfer market. In another article Bates says banks won't lend money to businesses on a speculative basis. The truth is no financial institution would touch Leeds United as long as the grey haired cr**k is at the helm
Support whatever manager we have Bates and then we can judge if he's any good

How many good managers have we sacked in the last 4 years? <laugh>

    Pearson walked.

Sousa, Hollowhead and Sven were all sacked after failing to deliver.

Glad we aren't in Leicesters shoes, lets be honest Leicester at best will only ever be bottom 10 in the prem.
Leeds have the potential for top 6.

I despise Ken Bates, he has virtually destroyed Leeds Utd one handedly.
Yes Ridsdale stuck the knife in originally, but Bates has never stopped
twisting it in a little further, since he arrived. Sold off our best assets
and spent nothing! I feel so sorry for Simon Grayson and what he has
had to work with for the last few years!
Then to hear the self serving poison dwarf, spout this sort of crap, makes
    me want to vomit!
If he (bates) dies over the festive period i will do a jig of joy. Not because
of the mans death and familys loss. But rather the fact that LUFC would
finally be able to start moving forward again!

Be very interesting to read your list of people who are dying to buy Leeds Utd
if Bates were to walk away. He,s clearly an uncouth individual who doesn,t respect anyone, but the fact remains that if he hadn,t arrived when he did you would be history now

saintsalive is right, and to be honest regardless of what people think there are not businessmen jumping up and down to buy leeds united because if there was bates would sell for the right price.

And i agree with him, if grayson does not deliver promotion this year (which i said in the summer and have continued to say) then he should be sacked and we should bring in another more capable manager for him to build.

why cant we do better? To be honest, i havnt truly thought about a good manager and off the top of my head it is hard but there is definitely good managers out there that are capable of gaining promotion and on the same budget regardless of what people say.

What i am saying is grayson will have had 2 seasons in the championship to try and get us promoted, if he isnt at least getting the team to around 3rd or 4th (i.e. challenging for autos) then that isn't good enough and we need to look elsewhere. Im not saying i have lost faith in him but i wouldn't be complaining if this was his last season especially if he isn't challenging for autos which at the moment we are not imo

What makes people think when Bates dies, we will be rid of his legacy. I'm sure he will have ensured there will be another tight fisted git lined up to take over the reins at Leeds. Even in death, we won't be properly rid of him

papa has a few more hotels to build yet before he thinks of selling poor leeds, he is a fantastic businessman who knows what he is doing......premiership income coming in with lower league wages and outlay going out. its a money machine for him and he wont let that go while he is on a good thing...would anybody.....the only way you can fight back is to boycott ER on match days and follow the team on the web or radio until it starts costing him money...he would soon sell you mark my words he would.....
