Fixed yer spelling Berb. Unsure myself - on the one hand they are right to vent their frustration and let the board know how they feel. On the other hand it probably isn't helping them right now. The whole situation would probably be a lot better for all concerned if the owners actually met with the fans and had some productive discussions rather than talking about targeting the top four whilst investing **** all in the club...
Evening lads. I saw that they won today (4-2! ) and there were still 'Kean out' protests! They have had a cracking win against Swansea and there are still protesting! Blackburn have some decent players (Holiett, Samba, Rochina) and they shouldn't really be in the position they are. Giving the team and manager some support in the coming games could really help them push on. I'd be more worried about the owners at Blackburn than the manager though... Venky's really don't have a clue!
The fans wouldn't be so harsh on him if he did his job. At the end of the day Blackburn are bottom of the league and likely to be relegated, Kean is responsible for that with poor performances. The fans have every right.
In my opinion, the Owners should be blamed, not Kean. Venkys have no clue what they're doing, and having supports show up just to protest instead of support their team isn't helping the Blackburn players.
I disagree. They appointed him yes. But he is responsible for the team. To blame the owners and ignore keans role in their decline would be madness.
Well I did phrase that wrong, what I meant was, the supporters have gone too far. They're protesting during the game, not supporting their team. Kean obviously does have to admit he is at least partially at fault, but I feel the supporters are out of line. Oh and believe it or not, my girlfriend's ex boyfriend is family friend with the Venkys, so I hate them by association.
I think they're right to vent their frustration. If they didn't then there's no chance that Venky's would change the manager. They're still inbreds though. They'd be better off doing it with a bit more humour, the way that City always used to. But inbred supporters (Blackburn, Barnsley, Leeds etc) tend to be completely humourless.
I think most football fans have lost all respect for Blackburn fans and their disgusting abuse aimed at Kean so the sooner they get relegated the better.
Any fan can sympathise with the frustration of what Rovers fans are going through, watching their team struggle indefinitely under a manager who seems increasingly out of his depth. Some of the abuse however has been way out of order. In the Bolton game, with Blackburn trailing by just a goal with four minutes of injury time indicated, a large amount of fans seemed more interested in getting a good spot from which to aim their vitriol at Steve Kean, instead of getting behind their team who were pushing for an equaliser. Poor, poor show.
This. Fans always have the right to protest against the manager, but the time to do it is before or after the game or at half time. Doing it during the game just undermines the whole team. It's no wonder Blackburn have gotten more results away from home than at home so far.
