Merry Christmas all Swans fans! I was lucky enough to bump into Ferrie Bodde this afternoon down at the Morfa shopping center. I asked how he was doing regards his recovery and he said that he is nearly fit and is hoping to figure in the FA Cup game against Barnsley. This would certainly be a terrific boost heading into the 2nd half of the season. I for one hope he has a successful and injury free return. I know this is my first post / thread, and some may not believe me, but I'm not a WUM. I've been supporting the Swans for 32 years, now live in the US, and take every opportunity to get to the Liberty (roll on QPR!)
good news if its true as he cannot be any worse than what we have already got and he shoots for goal at any given opportunity....
Great Christmas present yes much better than my yellow jumper with a snowman smoking a pipe my wife got me for xmas it is.....
Well thank you Santa i knew you were real lets just hope that this is the case and we have ferrie back in the fold with no other relapses along with our other new recruits
I could be wrong but it has been almost 2 years since the 2nd time he went down with the problem . If Bodde can come back healthyish , he will be a man on fire trying to repay the team that he was suppose to help get to the Premier !! .If he can stay in good health & be inspired by the Premier League , I figure his best football is ahead of him . He may play a bit sooner IMO but I've earmarked him to come back full throttle by the time we face Sunderland with 13 games remaining , the Cavalry is about to arrive !!
be great if its true but i have checked with guys and one girl who works at the liberty and nobody has heard anything about boddie at all only his fitness is improving on a weekly basis. We can do with some fire power thats for sure in midfield and he as we know will take long range shots. I'm not sure if he will be good enough now though but hey nobody else is going for goal at the moment so im happy to give him a go....
You nearly brought my Christmas pudding up....I ain't John Hughs. Ferrie said he's targeting Barnsley and I believe him. I hope it works out for him as it'll give us the boost we need in midfield. Either way, we haven't got long to wait to see if it works out for him.
Bodde could be " The Perfect Storm " scenario for us . His talent before injury is undeniable . He always rose with the challenge , 7 goals from over 30 games when we won League 1 , 7 goals in 17 games till injured in the first season of the Championship . When he went down we had the highest # of goals from midfield , 17 in 18 games if I remember correctly . The Premier League might bring continued improvement for Ferrie . His will to repay the team is another part of what could spur him on . You couldn't go out & pay 10 million on a midfield player that would know the inner workings of the team better or have a better shot . If he comes back healthy & hungry , there is no telling the impact a player of his quality under the circumstances of his return could make , the sky's the limit !!
Im hoping to build a Rocket ship out of washing machine spare parts, seems me and ferrie share the same optimism 3yrs out and he is going to play like he has never been away?? he is finished as a top level performer for us, better off just forgetting about him
Your out of your mind to kick Bodde's talent to the curb so quickly , he may have no impact but to be positive he won't is a bad bet guy P.S. At least your clothes will look good at lift off !!
