To get us in the mood for the big Boxing Day clash let's have your City songs old and new. Please include the era they were sung and the tune if poss.
To start with who knows the full lyrics to the YRA (Yorkshire's Republican Army) song from the 80s?

Found this on an Manc site, but we used to adapt it to every oppsition possible (Sheffield, Doncaster etc)

    In your Liverpool slums,
You look in the dustbin for something to eat,
You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat,
    In your Liverpool slums

    In your Liverpool slums,
You **** on the carpet, you piss in the bath,
You finger your grandma, and think its a laugh,
    In your Liverpool slums.

    In your Liverpool slums,
You speak in an accent exceedingly rare,
You wear a pink tracksuit and have curly hair,
    In your Liverpool slums.

    In your Liverpool slums,
Your mum's on the game and your dad's in the nick,
You can't get a job 'cos you're too ****ing thick,
    In your Liverpool slums.

Is this the YRA one you mean? Still gets a run out a few times a season.

    YRA, we're Yorkshire's Republican Army, we're Barmy
    Where ever we go
    we fear no foe
    'cos we are the YRA

    That's the one.
I also always admired the incredibly brave (or more likely pi55ed) bloke who sang at the top of his voice all alone:
Give us a CEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (stretching out the letter as long as his breath lasted)
Then the East stand responded; CEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII....(Dragged out even longer than the 'C')
    and so on until
    AND WHAT HAVE YOI GOT?
Then the East stand at top volume; CITY - clap clap clap - clap clap clap clap - CITY!!
    simple but effective.

one of my favourites i hardly ever heard sang much, but i remember it at barnet and couldnt get it out my head all the way home

to the tune of, oh what a night

    oh musslewhite
    greatest keeper in division three
another clean sheet for the hull city
    oh what a keeper, musslewhite..

made funnier by the fact after singing it all 2nd half we conceded a late goal..

One man and his dog (Spot) went to mow a meadow
One man, two men, three men, four men, five men, six men and his dog (Spot) went to mow a meadow.

    What was that all about?

I'd forgotten about that one, it was nearly good enough to warrant signing him again. <laugh>

Without doubt this is my favourite city song, I haven't heard it for years, I think the last time I heard it was at Luton sow years ago.

I also quite like, 'The Lion sleeps tonight' last time I can remember singing this was at Barnet, after we sung it we drew! Lol
