People belittling Watford because they think Cardiff are a big shot team somehow are even more boring than those who are bitter. Like so many other teams this season, you can gloat all you want but it's the performance that matters, and frankly we have been a Premier League team recently whilst you have generally been a worse off team than us. For all anyone knows, things can change quickly so don't get too hot headed.

I'm not bitter about Cowie leaving, we gave him a small contract and it's not his obligation to stay on. He moved to a club which has more money and probably a better chance to get promoted.

Unlike Rodgers, Malky didn't really say anything wrong. What he did do is undermine a team he played for and managed for 6 years. These things happen and I don't necessarily blame him for wanting the staff he knows and works well with, as well as the players too.......but we've still been used and abused here. Whether I blame him for it or not, the club still feels hard done by and has a right to feel that way.

I won't boo Cowie or Malky, but I hope we go away with 3 points because that would prove a point that we don't need Malky to be a good team.....we have Sean Dyche who has the backing of the team and can lead us forward.

I believe the reason Malky didn't say anything when he left was because contractually he was not allowed to talk about it without permission from Watford which he never rec'd

No gloating from me. Personally, I've nothing against Watford...never had any problems at VC and last time I was there we got the spanking we deserved <doh>... although there are a few other clubs I do wish nothing but failure on. :)
We've had enough reasons of our own to hold a grudge against certain people and I know how close we've come in the past to not having a club so my feet are firmly on the ground. I guess until we're in a similar situation I can't really say how I'd react. Most situations are out of our hands anyway and I doubt any of us are ever told all the facts.

As for Sunday, whatever happens happens and we all move on to the next one. <ok>

    link?

South Wales POLICE spokesman said: "The latest arrest figures speak for themselves, showcasing Cardiff City Stadium as a safe and family-friendly venue in which to watch football. "
It attributed the drop in arrests to the good behaviour of the fans, the stewarding and effective policing.
"All those involved can be very proud of themselves," added the spokesman.

South Wales POLICE said the fall in arrests at Cardiff games reflected well on fans, police and stewards and all could be "very proud of themselves".

Police said the "high number" of ban orders reflects "proactive work".

MM: "I can only touch on the football club since I've been here and when I go to our stadium and walk about it looks like an environment I would want to bring my children to."

You do realise that not all banning orders are for football-related violent offences?

As our former manager he will get a clap and then some hearty abuse; as all our former managers would, except Mr Rodgers. We did well for MM and he did well for us, as a former player as well. I think if he had gone to the Premiership, albeit to a struggler there, he would have been looked on more favorably than moving to a potential rival.

In addition most of the arrests and banning orders came from the Chelsea F A Cup game in early 2010. Cardiff fans leaving the ground were ambushed by Chelsea and rather than take a kicking a number retaliated (no police protection) and got arrested for their troubles. If those stats are removed then Cardiff's record is better than many in the last 2 years.

The increase from 2010 to 2011 relates to banning orders carried over from Chelsea where the cases were no finalised until the summer of 2011.

cheers Norway, same figures as in the link I posted.
Not denying we've most banning orders, just wondering where it said the police regard us as "the most violent outside of the Premier League" thats all <ok>

IMO, the most violent hooligan firm in the UK are those wearing helmets and carrying shields on match days... they love it.

I think sometimes the police do contribute to a situation , but by not snuffing it out soon enough! Some clubs stewards dont help much either!
but I think thats a topic for another thread another day :)

I wouldn't know. We don't tend to see too many of those at Watford. <ok>

For balance though, it's worth saying that the worst clubs at the Vic in the last couple of years were Forest and QPR.

Merry Xmas Hornette, only a fool would underestimate any team in this division, I'm sure Watford will be especially up for this game, lets hope it lives up to it's billing.
