The Faubert one is the strangest thing ever.

    I'd also say:

    Socrates to Garforth Town
Tevez & Masch to West Ham
    Robbie Keane to Inter

Maybe Boumsong to Juve? After how **** he was for us.

    Definitely the Faubert one though.

Eto'o to Anzhi was quite mad, as was when Balasz Dzusdusak, who was supposed to be the next big thing and had been linked to Liverpool etc ended up going to Anzhi!

This was mad too, Gyan esque:

That whole team is strange. They only turn up in the town to play matches then **** off back to Moscow to live and train, as they can't stay in Dagestan longer than a few hours for fear of being killed. 2,200 mile round trip for a home game <laugh>.

The thing I couldn't believe when someone told me is that Kluivert and Van Nistelrooy are exactly the same age! Born on the same day, I always thought of Kluivert as being much older.

As far as strange signings go, this one has to be up there.

Just so you know, their owner has been accused of genocide - not even Fat Mike can match that.

Yeah Van Nistelrooy is like the opposite, he came good at a much later age when he worked under Sir Bobby. Yet, he's probably become more of a legend than Klivert.

Was it Faubert's transfer of which Paul Merton said his agent ought to be knighted by the Queen?

What about Pirlo to Juventus? He was pretty much the best playmaker AC had and then they just go and let him leave on a free.

They did try to keep him but he wasnt playing all that much by the end. Hasnt lost it though, doing well for Juve.

Did we once buy a player for £333,333 or something stupid like that?

I know Jimmy Greaves went to Milan for £99,999 because the chairman didn't want him to have to deal with the pressure of being the first £100k player...

Also was a bit of a shock him going to Villa a week after scoring an own goal for them. Brilliant manager eh.
