This is only a rumour, but a friend of mine who has a very good track record of predicting coming and goings from Newcastle in the last few years claims that a deal has been done for Tiote to go to Liverpool for £20m with Carroll coming back on loan for the rest of the season with view to a transfer in the summer...

To be honest, if there is any truth in this, its not the end of the world as we have Guthrie, Vuckic, Gosling and Abeid in CM and if Carroll rediscovers his form, he could form a lethal partnership with Ba.

Apologies if this has already been brought up.

Why would we bring back Carroll when him and Llambias hate each other? (or seem to)

No, <yikes>, this can't happen Guthrie and Gosling are no where near as good as Tiote.

If it's true they better be picking up the £80k per week. But I can't see it.

Bringing back Carroll will never happen. Either he hates Ashley for forcing the transfer request or Pardew hates him for handing one in.

Infact on thinking about it I would love Carroll back. (I realise I am probably one of very few on here with this opinion but hey ho!)

It would really shove it in the faces of all those Liverpool fans who mocked us when he left...This is probably just a personal thing though.

    Can't see it myself.

I wouldn't mind Carroll back as long as we didn't play Barton-esque hoofball (although I doubt Obertan is capable of this). However, Tiote is very important to the way we play and his partnership with Cabaye is crucial to our success. Not sure we could convince anyone of a similar ability to join, even with £20m.

So they're not going to have Suarez for 8 games (he's no chance of winning the appeal), and they're going to let Carroll go.....

number 1 they dont need him and they need carroll in light of the scumez situation
number 2 we dont need another striker in the carroll mold dosnt fit with our new game style
number 3 liverpool surely wont shed out on tiote after wasting money on downing and henerson?
number 4 tiote will tell them where to shove it

despite all these good reasons no doubt it will happen just to defy logic

Why would Tiote sign for Liverpool, he is black and the people at Liverpool idolise racism, as proven on Wednesday night.

Yes but he is a muppet, had a go at Paul McGrath for comments on Adrian Durham's show then claimed he didn't know who Durham was.

With United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly interested, are you sure that's wise?

I don't see why he would want to leave and i (probably stupidly) have faith that Ashley won't sell him unless he wants to leave.
