The Redskins beat up the Giants yesterday in what was to my amazement one of the featured games shown last night... But i was very happy to see my team beat up one of there old foes in the New York Giants...!!! In what seems to be a season of if's and maybe's the Redskins are just showing signs of getting thier game together. They havnt suffered many big defeats or proper stuffings, and have won some close games, but its all work in process... It started off very well in the first half with the Skins keeping the Giants down to next to nothing goin forward, 4 punts on their first 5 possesions, the other an interception... A 14-3 ht score did not flatter the Redskins at all and in truth they may well have been further out of sight... The 2nd half was a bit more predictable as the Giants just carried on to struggle and the Redskins ran the clock down with good use of the run with the occasional big play to keep the defensive backs keen... The final whistle came and it looked like the Giants had had their hearts ripped out as in looking froward to the play-offs, although still in there hands, they looked a long way off... The Redskins looked like a team that was thinking forward to good draft picks, and building on this team. Then next year will be a good time to move forward and gain back some play-off action that this franchise has not had for some time... All in all a good victory, too late to make an impression for this season but im now looking froward to next week and next year with a lot more optimism... Go, go you Redskins...!!!
