Festive cheer, with a bit too much beer

    For once I thought I'd write a useful thread, and since its the festive season we are all going to have one thing...................a massive hangover dun dun duuunnnn.

    I for one have one now after having 5 pints, 4 bottle's of lager, 3 tequila shots and then I stupidly went to a bar where it was buy one get one free and even more idiotically got 4 Newcastle Brown Ales (gives you such a bad hangover). I have a splitting headache and when standing up i'm more unstable then bambi on ice, being hit by mike tyson or just Shola running.

    I noticed someone wrote a thread on this ages ago but couldn't find it, so do any of you guys know any hangover cure's? Because we all know us geordies like to drink! Bit less then the Irish granted.

    Just drink a few pints of water, alcohol dehydrates you. :)

    Coffee and aspirin is supposed to be the most effective.

    Personally I go for a thirty minute swim in the sea (no wetsuit). The cold just shocks the alcohol out of your system. You can go into the water pissed as a fart and come out sober as a judge. It has never failed me.

    If you don't fancy that try a hair of the dog. Needs to be vodka though and works best if you didn't get drunk on vodka in the first place.

    Best cure for a hangover: Drink until the pain goes away. And then when that gives you a hangover, drink some more etc.

    I've a feeling that might have been my thread, when I was having a long weekend in Spain.
    There were some weird and wonderful hangover cures, the one that sticks in my mind the most was Lemsips. :emoticon-0119-puke: I think that may have been a suggestion by Alfie.

    A hair of the dog, it never fails.

    That's how you never see Syd looking like he has a hang over and Osca always looks a bit on the bald side.
