    <ok>

    Bates out.

Some cockney who claims to be a Leeds fan despite thinking our fans are idiots and Grayson's the worst manager to have ever graced the game. That's Clivetime in a nutshell.

    Is Bates Clivetime then?

Although I hope you didn't ban him for expressing that opinion?

No, he disliked Bates. The only reason being that he appointed and stuck with Grayson. <laugh>

I banned him because he slagged off Leeds fans and moderators on numerous occasions, as well as trying to turn every thread he posted on into a Grayson discussion. His defence was that everything to do with the club is affected by Grayson, but that was literally all he ever talked about. Nothing else except Howson on a couple of occasions, on whom he seemed to have a bit of a man crush. He happily said he'd let me move his Grayson comments into a specialized thread so he could be isolated and then started slagging mods off for 'moving his comments'. So after a while, he just got tiresome and bitter and needed a ban.

The trigger was when he called the Gelderd Enders 'thick idiots'.

They banned Clowntime because he was a Leeds fan that told it as it was! I think he even admitted Leeds made a mistake selling Kasper!

Well I'm afraid you'll be waiting some time to come - We've spent nowhere near £15 Mill although I would agree that not all of what we have spent has been spent wisely, additionally there was a clear underestimation of the effect so many new players would have on team cohesion and the time it will take for a full new team to gel <ok>

I think we've spent about 3m over price this summer.

Mills is probably worth 3m - but we had to overspend to outbid the Premier League offers he had.

Beckford is probably worth 2m - I think we left it to the last hour of the transfer window and Everton wanted to keep their strikers.

Everyone else was brought in for a more than reasonable fee and we've probably saved over that 3m in Schmeichel, Koncheskey, Nugent and Peltier.

    I <laugh> everytime I see that some other numskull thinks we've spent 15m <ok>

You spent more than anyone else and have by a higher wage bill than everyone else(other than West Ham) and you're still not up to much, so I'm not sure what you're laughing about.

I'm laughing at the brainless idiots that can't see the difference between 7-8m to 15m.

We have spent around the same as Wet Sham and their Wage Bill is probably double ours yet nobody mentions that when they come into conversation.

That's still unprecedented spending for this level, and therefore irresponsible because it raises the bar for success. I.e. the price of promotion is even higher. That is obviously not healthy for football, and the effect that Leicester have boldly perpetuated will start to sink down the Second Division before pervading the Third and Fourth ones too.

    All very bad news really.

You wouldn't be saying that in our shoes.

Frankly if you can't keep up with our spending then I don't care.

Yes I would. I'd keep stressing that it's an issue for the FA to sort out, but I still think clubs have to self-moderate so they don't keep pushing up the unsustainable wage and transfer spending.

Then you don't care about the health of the Beautiful Game.
