Surprise surprise. In case you're not aware, Sky sports for the last couple of days have been running poll on their website for Premier league player of 2011.

The competition rules clearly stated that voting closes at midnight Thursday (22/12/11). That was two hours ago at the time of writing. At Midnight on Thursday, Luis Suarez was in the lead with 37% of the vote, with Nani close behind on 34%. That should've been it, Suarez should've won and the poll should've ended.

That wasn't the case though, as at 12:45 people were still able to vote, for everyone except for Suarez. when you click vote on Suarez, the link goes dead. Anyone else, it registers. Soon after, Nani mysteriously took the lead with 39%. And voting is STILL open, that is, except for Suarez. The winner is due to be announced on Goals on Sunday with Kammy and Ben Shepard this Sunday.

So when they announce Nani as the winner, we all know he wasn't really. This is totally unacceptable in my opinion, but is to be expected of a corporation that wipe Fergie's arse time and time again, while trying to diminish Liverpool's image at the same time.

    Disgusting.

Easy: report it to offcom. Video yourself doing what you've just said and send to offcom. At least they'll get fined.

Of course what they'll say is no vote was counted after 12 and that the figure you saw on screen at 12 didn't include delayed votes cast before the deadline...

Petty, but Im fairly sure Suarez will not lose sleep over a bunch of united boys masturbating furiously one sunday morning to a Video link of Nani being presented with an old sky dish painted gold.

Stop crying you whiny little girl.

Are you 12 years old or something? Jesus christ <doh>

And Liverpool dimished their own image perfectly well by themselves with that pathetic show of support for Suarez with those tacky t-shirts.

To be perfectly frank, neither should be anywhere near player of the year.

But that's what generally happens in public polls.

Ach; everyone's a bit paranoid at mo. Personally I found it amusing. Was the same when some idiot at skynews did a poll asking was the FA right over Suarez. Any halfwit would know that the largest response would be from us lot but yet the reporters were left spluttering in panic at the result.

But then sky do polls about whether to go for a sh*t

    Here's the video:

And Phil 'Messi' Jones, he's not upset about it, just pointing it out. Why would Sky Sports do it? If it's just a worthless poll, why have they seemingly rigged it?

(Disclaimer: I'm not expecting a sensible or relevant response to the above questions, having just realised who I addressed them to.)

C'mon:Skysports , particularly the football side of it have been the TV equivalent of TheSun for years! We watch it only because they show all the games we want to see or at least those of us far enough away to force the issue.

It says everything that needs to be said when you have to say the show was improved when Gary Neville came on to it for Christ sake!

I treat it like I treat most tv these days shouting therapy!

This seems harsh if true - I haven't looked at the video.

The only thing I'm thinking is that Sky are wanting to be seen not to be rewarding someone who has been charged with what he has been charged with ( although I don't want that bringing into this thread aswell ).

However if that is the case, then I think it is massively offside as the case has nothing to do with footballing ability (although Suarez or Nani never has been the player of 2011 ) .

Not surprising. Probably the FA getting involved to make sure a racist cannot win anything.

This sky vote thing is basically for the teams with most supporers, RVP has been beter than both of em, but Sky are scum, if they wished to exclude Suarez they should have done just that and explained their position, but breaking a url so someone cannot vote for him because he was winning, well, just fkn typical of that corp

Make sure someone they 'think' or have wrongly labelled a racist

Liverpool FC fans should ALL cancel heir subscriptions to Sky Sports period. Start an anti sky campaign on Twitter and Facebook.
