SJW19, you've become a mod on here? NICE! Anyway, it's debatable but I've said all along that Koscielny is better. Lots of Arsenal fans are finally seeing what I saw 8 months ago. People used to actually compare Koscielny is average defenders like Vidic and Jones, they must be feeling pretty stupid now.
Its close. But I would still go for TV. But if Kos keeps up this form then it will soon turn. Not just between him and TV but in the league as a whole. Could easily become the best in the league alongside Kompany and the like.

Fair enough, I don't have a problem with people who think Vermaelen is better, I just can't stand the people who think Vermaelen is head and shoulders above him when quite clearly that isn't the case. For me Koscielny's game reading, tackling, positioning, passing and arguably heading is better than Vermaelen's. I'd say 40% of our fans think Koscielny is better while the other 60% think Vermaelen just shades it, but that's slowly changing in Koscielny's favour.

A lot of ****e has been spoken about some of our players, Koscielney, Song, Walcott are examples of players who have proven people wrong. It happened again at the start of this season with Santos and Arteta in particular - and again those comments have been made to look like knee jerk rubbish.

Kosielney has improved vastly and is becoming a great player but he is not our best centre back, for instance when our back line is fully fit then he probably won't start, also he needs a strong and tall centre back like mertesacker to play beside him because they can complement each other. But don't get me wrong he is a great player and will get even better, i also think that he would be fairly comfortable at full-back as he comes forward very well with the ball from deep positions.
He will definitely be a starter when we have a fully fit squad. I'm 100% sure. We can't drop our best centre back.
I said it this summer - two players who will really shine this season will be Wilshere and Koscielny. Actually Martin Keown ( who always talks sense) also said that Koscielny is the best Arsenal defender. TV is a great leader, but Kos is IMHO a better defender, who will get even better. I could even say TV is a better player and definItely more valuable player, but Kos is a better defender, As strange as it sounds. If you know what i mean. Back line when all fit will be Sagna-Kos-TV-Gibbs , although I would prefer Santos.
Clearly this is the delusional Arsenal love fest. I will take no part in it .... especially when I see drivel like Mertesacker is our best defender and Santos is great.
