Given our problems at the back, who would people like to see arrive in January? Obviously central defence is the major need, but a left back to cover Traore seems a necessity during his absence.
Ridgewell at LB, move traore up to LM IMO we play out best football with him playing there. Bassong at CB or if the funds are there ideally samba
Samba would be a great signing; is it a realistic possibility though? Can't see Rovers letting him go to a relegation rival, nor the player wanting to swap a bad situation for a slightly less worse one. Bigger clubs than us may be circling round Samba.
Onouha on loan, Tomkins from West Ham, Bassong and Ridgewell would be nice. Clyne at Palce would be worth a punt
Get Alex, Bassong and Ridgewell. Defoe and Bent up front. Encourage Adel to play out of his skin for the rest of the season. Hey Presto! We've got a quality team.
Heard the same on Wednesday from a few sources. Samba is on wish list but probably wont get for reasons already mentioned.

Bassong and Ridgewell. Move Traore to LM and drop either SWP or Mackie (Jamie). Then, all of a sudden our defence (Ridgewell............Ferdinand...........Bassong...............Young) doesn't seem so bad.

I think any two of Alex, Samba, Ridgewell or Bassong would be great signings. As for up front Zamora wouldn't be a bad option - as he has said (supposedly) he wants to stay in London Defoe goes without saying his qualities and what he would bring - as for Bent, I would give him a wide birth. He will be over priced just like last January!
Exactly! Why are people adding Bassong to the wish list when its a 'done deal' just like 'Defoe'. (even if arry won't let him go). For me i would like the Arsenal guy 'Flimpog' maybe Kebe from Reading (as cover), Ridgewell, the ManCity bloke 'ouoonu'? and a forward from abroad. Do us nicely.
