This does not just go to Gooners. Mancs, Spuds, Chavs, Geordies and everybody else, if you don't want to see the racist Suarez win the 'player of 2011' award then vote for Van Persie. Suarez is currently on 39% with RVP on 26% with the polls closing at midnight tonight.

Seems ominous the racist will win (how embarrassing for Sky, he will miss more games via suspension this season than he will score goals) but every little helps.

It really is sad how Scousers continue to show support for a proven racist. Classless fanbase.

To be fair he's not a 'proven' racist. that case would not have stood up in any proper court.

The whole trial is typical FA it's a complete farce. There's no evidence to prove he racially abused Evra.

It's actually pretty pathetic. Innocent until proven guilty - i think its bull****. I hope Liverpool take them to court.

No evidence except for Suarez mouthing off in Uruguay about what he called Evra.

Methinks some people are voting for the team and not on the basis of how the player's have performed.

Suarez is good, but he's a striker. Van Persie is also a striker. Look at the stats; Van Persie has been better this year in every way. This might be a record-breaking year for him in terms of Premier League goals. Makes no sense.

Even as a Liverpool fan, I had to vote for Van Persie.

Suarez has been excellent for my team but Van Persie has been quite simply outstanding.

I seen Liverpool fans telling their fellow fans to vote for Suarez using different browsers and on the android phones. Also on a Liverpool forum called RAWK, they all have 'Suarez Is Not A Racist' under their username. <laugh>

doubt that to be honest. the media are creaming themselves over silva at the moment and rooney is starting to find some form again so that makes RVP 3rd favorite at best

Suarez is at the top at the moment. He has been very average compared to other players such as RVP and Silva.

Its a stupid poll which can be manipulated easily. Suarez would never win it if it was down to neutrals.

Silva is a class player but he is not any better than Fabregas, in fact it's not even close. The likes of Silva, Suarez and Mata are being overhyped because of their style of play, not their efficiency.

How the hell is suarez top - he hasn't done anything of note this year apart from the irrelevant obvious.

To be fair to Rooney he has scored a lot of goals and created a good few aswell in 2011. Formed a title winning partnership with Hernandez and was the only United player who didn't embarrass himself vs Barca. The thing is you can make a case for the likes of Silva, Rooney, Modric, etc, none of them have been a patch on RVP and none of them have shown the consistency he has in 2011. Lets just hope he can break Shearer's record, that is a bigger achievement than any individual award he might win for being a media darling.

How did Nani get so many votes so quickly to overtake van Persie let alone Suarez?

Thinking about it, seems to be no surprise with so many fanboys living outside Manchester...
I can understand all the Liverpool fans being pathetic and desperately voting for Suarez just to have one achievement this year, but voting Nani (had a good year, no doubt about it) means that the Mancs were wearing their famous red-tinted glasses instead of being objective and to acknowledge the fact that van Persie was the best player in this calendar year.
He even performed well (and SCORED) in our difficult run towards the end of the season when he scored in 8(?) consecutive away games.

These muppets can't be calling us a one-man team this year without admitting that van Persie is the best player this year...
