Sounds like another waste of wages, come on, is he ever going to get ahead of Ross, becchio and Somma *sigh*
If he's fast, skillfull and can deliver a good cross than the club should sign him up because he's got to be a better option than Sam or Pugh on the left. This rumour sounds true. He's free.
Im not against this signing and if he is a winger as everybody has been saying im more happy about it and i know how successful these non-heard of signings can be but i really think we need to be signing someone a little more known with bigger reputation and known skill (Leeds-18 has been throwing around the name templeton of late). Just to show ambition, show that we are NOT happy with just competing around the sixth spot, show some real desire to challenge for autos, we always seem to be looking to beat the system by getting someone no one has heard of (which im not saying do, just not for EVERY signing)
just found this on a lufc fb page: I'm an American, and love the US team. Robbie Rodgers is the worst player I have ever seen play for us. He is complete ****, and I hope more than anything this rumor is untrue. He may have a decent game once every 10, but is awful all the rest. Please Please I hope this is untrue. good signs
THe video proves nothing at all, any 18 year old winger can do that and much more. Let's see him do it on a wet pitch, not astroturf, and with no time on the ball before someone puts their foot in.
provided he's any good, he could be a good signing. One thing about the yanks, they love winning, more than anything else. Grella may be the only yank sportsman ever to feel like he can't be bothered putting in a shift.
Grella was a strange player, really confused me how sometimes he could look like he was gonna be fantastic and then other times as you say, just didnt seem to want it enough, didnt put the effort in. His shooting was very powerful and he was quite skillful but didnt have the effort
Okay I stand corrected however, I am finding it hard to discover any material on him that reflects it would be a positive move. The only one who thinks he is great is the guy himself, his twitter and personal homepage leave plenty to be desired, sounds a bit of a "I love myself" kind of bloke.
From what I can tell the Columbus fans seem to think he's skilful and has potential, but doesn't produce in enough games. We have a decent history of getting the most from those kinds of players.
