It's not always been perfect though has it? If god created it, why not create it as perfect immediately? Why make it so that millions of years have to pass before his chosen subjects can live there? Why not just stick them there straight away? Did he have a lot of paperwork to do first?
The earth has been uninhabitable for almost all of it's existence. We're only here because it became temperate enough to support life fairly recently. A sligh deviation in it's orbit of the sun will cause it again to be uninhabitable.
And yet even though it has been inhabitable for a fraction of its time in existence, it was created for us This is the problem with religion, it can turn otherwise intelligent people into irrational, illogical buffoons.
Then your knowledge of the English language is what is causing problems. It's your second language, whereas as for me it's something I have studied extensively. Who is likely to be right? Obviously not studied hard enough as you seem to not know the meanings of simple words, otherwise why refer me to a dictionary? Should be staright forward for you. And having 'studied' english does not make you more right in any way or form, thats just an arrogance. Intellect is not measured by the degree you have Well, you said I solved my own conundrum, as though ignoring pain did banish it. Anyway, if it's just 'god's will' that pain, suffering, problems, whatever, affect even those that follow his rules, what does that say for god? By your reasoning, he is vindictive against non-believers, and neglectful at best towards his 'flock'. Like I said earlier, what's the point in being in god's gang if he doesnt look after you any better that those who aren't? I thought you had studied english extensively? who says he doesnt? Thats the whole point of the discussion. Those who moan perceive to have 'faith' and be part of the 'flock' yet do all that is prohibited only to come back and whinge when things go bad (or they percieve them to be bad). Its fairly clear cut in all the books tbh I shouldn't need to define pain or suffering for you Fan. If you know what a conundrum is, you should know that pain and suffering are virtually the same. Yes you should as you obviously misunderstand them, besides it would avoid confusion. Why are you avoiding defining? For me similar doesnt mean the same. I can be in pain and not suffering, or be suffering but not in pain Why would you not be angry though? You devote your life to god, then he ****s you over royally by taking one of your kids, even though he/she might be your only one and god's got millions up there with him by all accounts. If god controls everything, and you've been one of his 'good guys', him taking your child would be like a knife in the back. Why would it be like a knife in the back? Do we not all want good for our kids? By taking the child God has given that child the ultimate prize as in heaven Hasnt then god done you a favour? but you are so weak in faith you fail to see it? You must suffer from them to some degree or they wouldn't be problems. Not really. I have a problem at the moment with one of my cars, it needs a part. It still runs and I have 2 so not suffering Wrong because I don't believe faith in god works? If that is the way you want to see it It's not done the righteous in the Philippines much good has it? How do you figure that they were righteous? THis is like the saints and martyrs bit you mentioned before. says who?
your anger in god makes you irrational and illogical look at what is being said, A slight deviation and no life as in no us so of course it was perfect for us to be and to survive The fact thta it was inhabitable but became habitable is even more amazing
The Lord works in mysterious ways What is important is that it was made perfect for US, yet some of us are ungrateful unless you think it was all coincidence
This thread is rediculous. Any sensible discussion on what we are and where we came from, is quickly smeared by ideological clap trap. To even try and have an open, reasoned debate here is impossible. I urge those who've stood their ground, and offered up solid, verifiable science to refute a closed thought process, to just leave the OP to his own devices. No more for me. I'll not drop by again.
why Luton SN? cant stand the place. Not a fan of burning stuff tbh, more a stand back and laugh at those buying christmas trees, then getting them chopped up whilst all the time claiming to be atheists and being rebels who dont conform
Couldny give a **** about xmas, but I like getting pressies and going to parties and having a slap up dinner as much as the next fella.
Same ****, Fan is pretending to be clever and teaching us that Allah made everything... Any rational argument against this obviously flawed bullshit is being side stepped or ignored...... please log in to view this image
