What would be the consequence if a normal working person got caught by the police elbowing a guy in the back of the head or shooting a teenager?, im sure the guy with the gun would be put in prison for at least a month, and elbowing someone would be or prison for a few days? yet Rooney gets no action against him, the police defo need to treat footballers equal to any other person.:police::police::police::police:

An elbow in the back of the head gets you a few days in prison! You obviously don't follow court rulings in the UK much!

Few days in prison for an elbow is a bit extreme maybe. But you don't get off scot free either if you suddenly elbow some random bloke in the head for no reason.

No criminal record will result in a warning and fine. The court system is a joke.

With the prison system hanging out the windows already this **** pot country is now exploring ways NOT to send people to prison at all. FFS they even let murderers out after 5 years so shooting someone with an air gun will probably amount to being sent on Safari by Lambeth council with spending money and a set of saucepans <laugh>

I just don't understand how stupid you would be to shoot someone without realising there were bullets in your gun.

You get off scot free if you punch a DJ in the face. Provided he stood up in a threatening manner of course...

I wonder what sanctions would have been brought against the young work experience lad if he had shot Ashley Cole?

    <laugh> You'd hope

I think it's certain that he would have received far less lenient treatment that Cole has.

Am I the only one who is totally bemused and utterly alarmed that there was a loaded rifle in the Chelsea dressing room? WTF is going on there?

What would happen - in public - if you punched someone below the waist with only a glove to cushion the blow? Or drove a car out of a mechanics garage at over 60mph after having a tyre change? Or launched into someone at shoulder height just to chase an egg-shaped ball? You'd be in trouble with the police obviously. But in boxing, F1 and rugby, if you committed the above misdemeanours, you'd simply be disciplined. People break the rules in various sports without feeling the full force of the law.

This whole "if he did that on the street" bollocks is ridiculous.

I heard that it was there in case any of the WAGs came to visit, that way John Terry can be kept at bay.
