Jonas need competition for his place

    Jonas plays better when he has someone challenging him for his place. Last season when HBA took his place he upped his game and this season when Marv was pushing him he again upped his game. Is it a coincidence that his performances have dropped due to no one pushing him for his shirt?

    I personally think it's fatigue, he's played in pretty much every game up to this point.

    I agree just play Ben Arfa there ffs Pardew that's his position man. I'd still play Jonas on the right ahead of Obertan

    That might be true but again comes back to squad depth on the wings and not having the opportunity to rest players

    Yes. Fergie isn't really up to 90 minutes week in week out but he could definitely do a job as a sub if Jonas isn't playing well.

    Trouble is with 20 mins to go at the moment we need to be bringing fresh legs on up front & CM due to the work rate Tiote, Cabaye, Best & Ba are putting in, they cover huge distances especially the two CM's.
