Non starter anyway I'd imagine. Would require him taking a huge paycut.

For what it's worth I'd have JWP back in an instant and do think its possible. Can play any of the midfield 3 positions and the left foot right foot pairing with Manning on set pieces would cause havoc.

He's also got 1 year left on his contract and if West Ham want rid then could see the attraction from both sides on a 3 year deal or similar. Don't think it would be unaffordable.

He's not quite in the same stage of his career as Romeu, Lallana etc so unfair to compare.

He's also just a really good professional who loves the club and you know would add to the group rather than disrupt it.

He is not at that level of crocked tbf

I'll also defend Walcott, he was pushing hard in a **** team.
Fair points but my point is mainly that is rarely works out when a player returns to a club where he was successful before. I'm not totally against JWP returning but I wouldn't want him taking the place of Jander or Charles. So at least one would have to be sold to make room for him.

Was bored last night and saw the Saints YouTuber Football Martin was doing a live stream so put it on in the background. Alfie House was in the chat and was being asked questions and said that THB and Charles are both unlikely to be here next year, not really groundbreaking but interesting he put Charles ahead of Jander and Scienza when asked “who is most likely to leave”

Not surprised he would be ahead of Leo but surprised he's more likely than Jander to leave. I would rather we keep Jander as well over Charles.

i was speaking to a West Ham fan last month and he reckoned that JWP was finished. West Ham fans don't rate him and just no longer good enough for their level which is broadly that if Saints.

I agree about the wages issue but can see him landing unexpectedly at an unfashionable club in thr Championship. Wonder if WHU will reduce his value to off load him. If JWP turned up at somewhere like Leicester , it would not shock me.

He isn't going down to League One.

I'd say no to JWP purely on the principle that it never ever works out second time around.

Jander - think it's a case of getting the best price this summer
Charles - depends on if he wants to go or not and contract length left etc etc
Leo - don't think he'll leave as a combination of age / level and what we'd want to sell him for means no on will bite.

He’s always talked well so if he fancies a career in media then somewhere like Wrexham might be a good move if he is as finished as West Ham/Burnley fans think. Couple of seasons there building his rep more on their documentary then retire and go into some media stuff after.

I'm not sure JWP is the player he was three years ago. I know two West Ham fans and here are some of their comments on him:

"spending £70m on Ward-Prowse and Kilman has been a disaster"
"Ward-Prowse is beyond finished as a top flight midfielder"
"the Soucek/Ward-Prowse axis of inability"
"Rodriguez and Ward-Prowse is literally the slowest midfield in the entire world and that includes walking football"
"Ward-Prowse doesn't offer anything except set pieces"
"Never liked Ward-Prowse but he's become a remarkably useless player recently"
"Since moving to West Ham he's fallen off a cliff"
"JWP has been playing since he was 16. Similar to Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rooney, Owen and Wilshere. They all hit the wall around 30."

So I'd pass.
