Just googled if he ever played football and there's a claim he played in the Swiss 4th tier.
The way he toe poked that corner I'm calling bullshit. Nobody who ever played football to any standard, including playing down the ten foot with your mates, would strike a corner like that.
It turned out they didn't overturn the ban, he just got a diplomatic passport, but it didn't work and the US denied him entry.
The tournament can't start soon enough, it's nothing but negative stories coming out of the US at the moment.
It’s just bad faith by the US to deny visas to players and staff of other countries from qualifying nations. FIFA should be make it a clear rule that host nations of their competitions are required to grant visas to all players and staff of nations that qualified. Even Germany let Jesse Owens participate in the 1936 Olympics, for ****’s sake.

We really just shouldn't keep letting these rogue states have world cups and then bending over backwards for them trying to make it work retrospectively. Make it a condition of hosting the tournament that you have to be co-operative. Don't like rainbow laces? Can't do a summer tournament? At war with one of the participants? Sorry, you don't get the World Cup then. Should be that simple.
Sadly it really isn't that simple is it? World Cup hosts are decided years and years in advance, nations could cause all sorts of havoc between being chosen and the actual event. Other nations couldn't handle having the World Cup dropped on them with say a couple of years to go...
This is now the trouble with increasing to 48 teams .
There isn't a massive amount of countries that can now host .
What are the minimum required amount of stadiums for instance
