Agree, dont think he has the bite needed in the premier league - You either need to at the very top technically and tactically or have enough physicality and edge and just dont think he has either

I've always said about Patto...very good keeper but just doesn't command his area the way top keepers do. He needs to take a leaf out of Pickford, Schmeichel or Martinez book...they totally boss their goal area

A good player who knows where the goal is but if he's not prepared to sit on the bench at Villa would he be prepared to do the same here? It would be a toss of a coin between him or Brobbey who started games

If he’s moving on there has to be a reduction on that in my view. I’d say around 16 to 18M.
Feels the wrong age profile. Decent size fee and by end of contract will be on 30’s so little resale value.
I don't think he needs a free rein to be effective. He played wing back under Amorim, was really good and didn't whinge. He's demonstrably more than willing to do his bit defending when needed. Reggie would love him in my opinion.

Just think he's a money man,rather than a worker,the sort who might disturb our changing room. I've no info,my opinion only.
